Tears streamed from her orbs as she pleaded. I threw one final glance at her crying face then scurried away. I needed to get away from her, to think clearly. I approached the boys, who were waiting for me outside the precinct. They had accompanied me when we had heard of Harriet's arrest. "Did you talk to her?" Steve was the first person to ask as soon as I arrived where they were. Steve had been openly crushing on Harriet ever since. But due to our friendship, he didn't dare make a move on her.

Steve's face initially lit up with happiness at the sight of Jeremy, but it quickly turned into a look of anger and determination. Without a second thought, Steve shot the man and he fell to the ground. Jeremy, who was still in shock, looked up to see Steve's face through his tears. As he looked at Steve, tears streamed down his face. Without thinking twice, Steve ran towards Jeremy and gave him a tight hug. As Maggie entered the dark room, she froze in shock. Oliver lay motionless on the ground, with a shattered phone and knife on his side. The scene was eerie and unsettling, leaving Maggie wondering what could have happened.

"My name is Patrick McAllan, Mr. Hamilton. I'm the inspector in charge of the Interpol team investigating the Daniel Craig case," the man introduced himself, and both Allie and Scott invited him to sit. "We specialize in complicated cases, and this one certainly qualifies—so we need your full cooperation."

Detective Peter sat across Steve with a worried expression. He was excellent at his job and strongly believed the Steve and Aziza required police escort but the department had turned down his request stating lack of evidence of the couple being in danger. He also had other concerns about his department, personnel were being reshuffled to different departments, stations and towns while evidence on arrested suspects went missing and department computers wiped out of all the evidence.

If I did, you probably would have been called to come pick up my corpse.” Steven doubted the cops would have called him to come collect the body of a hardened criminal but this was hardly the time to present facts to Smith. “Look, Smith. I'm glad you're okay but you owe me info still. Figure out a way to get it to me or you're on your way to jail, Man.” Steven said before hanging up the phone. He flushed the toilet and walked out of it even though he hadn't used it to throw Marie off his scent. “Who's on his way to jail?” She asked the minute he emerged from the bathroom.
