Jane advised. “Certainly, I shall,” Steven replied. “I was preoccupied when you called; we shall converse at another time,” Jane reciprocated. “Alright, take care of yourself, and thank you for always supporting me,” Steven expressed his gratitude. “Haha, anything for you, my little brother,” Jane laughed in response. Conversely, Steven has a girlfriend named Susan, who consistently supports his decisions and is aware of his intentions regarding Ethan. After finishing work, Steven went directly to Susan’s residence to inform her of his success. Upon seeing him, she rushed to embrace him.

"I know I’m just a weak human, and being bonded to me makes you vulnerable. I promise not to do anything reckless again." Steven’s expression softened for a brief moment, but he quickly masked it. When Steve arrived at the base, he went to his private most room. No one was allowed to enter that room except his best friend Stooper whom he had given access f that room. He wanted to clean himself so that he could avoid any suspicious that he had left the pack to meet a human. When he pushed the door open, he saw his closest friend Stooper sitting on the couch as if he was waiting for him. Stooper had the same nature as Steve but not he was not as powerful as him.

After a while I saw a bunch of people inside Steven's unit, they are holding guns and in front of them is Alton looking at me with his eyes filled with fear and worry. I smiled when I saw him and a sigh of relief escaped from my lips. Tears fell from my eyes once again not because of fear but because of relief because he is already here, I am safe now. "Stop! Don’t move! Drop the weapon! Put your hands up! Put your hands behind your back!" the officers commanded but Steven simply laugh at them. He looked at them without any hint of fear in his eyes. "Just shut up!" he shouted once again completely losing his sanity.

If it was, it had worked spectacularly, because the two had an awkward little hug, something that they never did, and then Luke was gone again. It took Steven a minute to think it through, to wrap his head around it just being said and done. If Steven didn't know any better, he’d think that the universe was fucking with him. Either way, it didn't feel like it could go too much longer. Whatever was going to happen, Steven just wanted that ill feeling to leave him. He wasn't used to it, and he didn't like it at all.

“And I promise, River… I’ll protect both of you. No one, nothing will hurt you again, not if I can stop it.” A knock on the door drew my attention. Steven peeked in, small backpack on his shoulders, his hair tousled from sleep. “Mom?” he said hesitantly, eyes wide. “Are you okay?” I smiled faintly, brushing a strand of hair from my face. “I’m okay, sweetheart. How was school today?” He shrugged. “Good… but I missed you.” He glanced at Zed. “And you too.” Zed crouched down to Steven’s level, ruffling his hair gently. “I missed you too, buddy. And now I’m here to stay, okay?”

“You planned this, remember? Don’t get all possessive now.” Steven’s laugh came out strangled and humorless. “Possessive? I’m not—” He ran a shaky hand through his hair. “Max, we’re done. Stop it. This isn’t happening.” Max raised a brow, “ Are you getting cold feet, Steven?" He blinked, signaling him to play along. Steven shook his head, looking defeated. “Just… please. Leave him alone.” The please gutted me. Something was definitely wrong, very wrong. Max waved a dismissive hand at him. “He’s drunk. Ignore him.”

He cleared his throat and said, "Diana, your imagination is so rich." "What do you mean?" Steven put his arm out in front of me at this point, then explained: "Look, my vein is broken. Out of concern for you, I pulled out the infusion tube. Besides, Sharmaine and I aren't what you think they are. I also have my own rules." "Damn it! Why do I have to explain this to you? I really have lost my mind." Steven muttered in an angry voice. I'm still not wholly convinced; I don't intend to hide what I've seen.

A blank look goes over Steven’s face. “I am not certain what you mean,” Stevens starts to say but Adam interrupts him. “Let’s cut to the chase. We have something you want. You cannot have it,” Adam says as I watch Stevens’s face go red. “We consider it insurance that requires you to leave us and our mates in peace,” Adam continues.
