The CEO's Unwanted Baby

The CEO's Unwanted Baby

Guilt often accompanies the feeling that we are betraying someone's trust or that our actions may have harmful consequences for ourselves or others. The need to conceal what we've done can create an ongoing cycle of anxiety. The fear of being discovered, facing the repercussions of our actions, or harming our relationships can become a significant emotional burden. Sometimes, the secret can weigh so heavily that it leads to additional lies to protect our initial actions, creating a web of deceit and tension. The feeling of doing something wrong and hidden also puts us in a moral dilemma. On one hand, the desire to be honest and face the consequences of our actions is confronted with the desi

He then leaned back against his desk and frowned at me. "I've never seen you cry," he noted. "This kid really got to you." "I hate it," I whispered. "It's like someone has ripped a hole in my heart and there's just emptiness. Is that what guilt feels like?" Rob just stared at me. "It makes me feel weak," I hiccuped. "I can't stand it. I just want the feeling to go away!" "It won't," Rob said. "It will stay with you for the rest of your life. That's the price that comes with our line of work."

Guilty Secrets

Guilty Secrets

Richard managed to put the blame on my father for all the illegalities and everyone believed him just like that. Father swore to me that he was innocent and I believe him. Why lie to me? He was always honest with me. The only thing he did wrong that day was that he trusted his best friend and accompanied him. A friend who betrayed him in the end and presented my father as the sole mastermind of all his illegal actions. I suspected Richard was hiding something since we visited his pack. I found it strange that his pack was so lavish when his companies were few and small. I wonder why father didn't see it all this time. Richard's wealth was of unprecedented value. Unfortunately, none of these

Dr. KILLER

Dr. KILLER

Karma's POV Guilt is a strange thing, as a doctor, I had watched people carry it into hospital rooms more times than I could count. A husband who blamed himself for not noticing his wife's symptoms earlier. A mother convinced she should have driven slower, or a son who believed one more phone call would have changed everything. I had always told them the same thing. "This wasn't your fault." Now, sitting beside Noah's hospital bed, I realized those words were much easier to give than they were to believe.

The Hidden Twins of the CEO

The Hidden Twins of the CEO

I went near the window and looked down at the busy road. My heart was covered with pain and guilt. People said right that no amount of guilt can change the past and no amount of sorry can erase the pain. Because some things can be forgiven but never be forgotten. Sometimes I wonder what is guilt. Then my heart spoke up. "Guilt is the worst thing. You can not see it but you can feel it. It always roams around you to remind you of the sins you have committed in past. It can not hurt you physically but it can damage you mentally. In a word guilt is a rope that are thin"

The proof reading for this novel is incredibly bad. The writing in general itself too also is very lethargic, it feels like it's written by primary going kid. I wanted to give the storyline some chance but honestly I could not due to incredible poor writing skills

I want to read this book because others have recommended. I have read earlier comments about grammatical errors that were really bad and some duplicate chapters. I was just wondering if they were corrected especially duplicate chapters because I have come across too many books with that issue and

Til Death Do Us Part

Til Death Do Us Part

MY body prickling all over with the intensity of anxiety from listening to this. “I made a mistake in letting you work here all this time. Brushing over what I knew you were holding on for and ignoring it no matter how many times you said it. …. You talk about guilt… then that’s what this is. My guilt isn’t causing me confusion where Sohla is concerned… my guilt kept you around for these past two years because I felt sorry for you. Sorry about what I did. Responsible for the mess I created, the shitty outcome, and I let you stay, so I didn’t feel so bad about one aspect in how it all turned out. Abandoning you after starting something that should never have been. There was no other reason.”

Pregnant With My Stepbrother’s Child

Pregnant With My Stepbrother’s Child

Because I didn’t just steal from a house, I stole from someone who trusted me with his heart. Someone who once said, “Even if the world turned its back on you, I won’t.” And now? He was gone and vanished into thick smoke. Not because he hated me for sure, but because I broke something he believed in. And trust me, guilt has a way of rotting you from the inside, worse than going to jail. It shows up in dreams, in the tightness in your chest when you hear his name, and in the way even food tastes like cardboard because nothing feels right anymore.

Helping Mr. Gang Leader

Helping Mr. Gang Leader

Gianna sipped at her coffee, surprised that Rio remembered how she liked it, and confessed, “I’m honestly … in a really guilty way, glad that it’s this way. Him, and not me.” Rio asked, “That’s … not what I expected you to say.” Gianna felt the first bit of real smile pull at her mouth. “I mean to say is, I always carried around this horrible guilt about my mother and sister. My father had to bury them and I always felt like it was my fault. I always worried what would happen when my father had to bury me. I was convinced that I’d go before him and that would be something else he’d have to do. In way, a horrible way, I’m less burdened knowing he won’t have to bury me.”

Dumped By My EX, I Picked Up A Tycoon

Dumped By My EX, I Picked Up A Tycoon

My eyes were fixed on the cream swirling into the dark coffee, mixing into a balanced color. Melinda sighed. She was sitting across from me, and I know she’s watching me intently. “What’s your plan?” She asked after a few minutes. I took a deep sigh and looked at her. “I don’t know. I feel like I’m being punished for something I didn’t even do. Like…there has been a constant trial in my head. Unending, like a cycle.” She nodded as if she understood me. “That’s what guilt does. It will consume you, slowly, painfully. You would try to reason out and fight it, but there’s only two endings to that. Either, you will give in, or you’ll kill your own conscience.”

From Best Friend To Fiancé

From Best Friend To Fiancé

But I doubt that’ll ever happen. Roman’s too far gone. Father’s too powerful. And I’m way too tired. Sometimes I think about leaving anyway. About packing up, disappearing, letting them rot in their own lies. But every time I try, the General’s voice follows me, promising ruin if I ever open my mouth. He thinks fear keeps me here. He’s wrong. It’s guilt. Because as much as I hate him, I hate myself more for not saving her when I could have. For keeping quiet. For being complicit by doing nothing.

Be prepared that although this story is mainly romance, it’s also complex full of betrayal, wrongdoing, and lies. There are morally gray characters, themes of dark romance, lots of spice, and intense drama. I loved the chaotic and fierce love that is Roman and Savannah and glad they got their HEA :)
