LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT
Rachel leaned against me while the pancakes cooked, her head resting on my shoulder, one hand lazily stroking my back.
“We still have a little more time before your mom comes home,” she said softly, pressing a kiss to my jaw. “Let us eat breakfast, then maybe cuddle on the couch and watch something silly until she gets back.”
I smiled and kissed the top of her head, my heart feeling full to bursting.
“Anything you want,” I replied. “As long as I get to be close to you like this.”
For now, in this quiet, stolen morning light, we were just two people who were deeply, beautifully in love.
