The moon had been shining brightly just moments before, but now it was obscured by gathering clouds that were quickly darkening the sky. Before he could even fully register what was happening, the elements began to pour down in a deluge of rain. Alpha Nathan watched in awe as the rain hammered against the window, the wind howling and tossing tree branches and debris around. He had never seen such a powerful storm, and he couldn't help but feel a sense of foreboding in the face of its ferocity. He wondered if this was a sign of some sort of impending disaster, or if the storm was simply a manifestation of the tumultuous emotions that were swirling inside of him.

"So he's out for blood… This is getting interesting." He then looked outside the window at the dense black clouds over the sky. "It would seem that the storm tonight will be a scary one." Under the night sky, a black Hummer made its way across the streets of Kandor City like a beast hunting for prey. Its rampage along the highway easily sent nearby cars into a retreat, clearing out the road for the massive vehicle. Dark clouds accumulating above the night sky finally let out a burst of thunder. The ominous booming sound seemed as if it was signaling the beginning of the storm.

And then—thunder. A low rumble rolled across the sky. The people gasped. A cheer rose up from the edge of the crowd. My chest swelled. "You hear that?" I shouted. "A storm is coming! Water for your crops, your children! Proof your Alpha and Luna provide!" Another rumble. The people looked up. Then... nothing. We waited. A minute. Two. The shimmer disappeared. The rumble faded. The sky stayed clear. Still. Empty. A child started crying.

Outside the window, dark clouds began gathering. A storm was coming.
