Letters from the future
“Okay, talk. What’s going on? You’ve been… I don’t know. Different. And honestly, kinda scary.”
Her throat closed. She thought of the letters, of her future self’s face in the train yard, of Rick’s dark eyes in the shadows. She thought of her mom’s evasions, the photograph, the fire.
And she decided: enough.
“There’s something I have to tell you,” she whispered.
