The CEO's Stolen Moments

The CEO's Stolen Moments

A lady was standing by the door side, she had a cell phone in hand and was looking down at it. “How may I help you?” “I’m here to help you instead,” the lady walked in without formal introduction, a well-built lady she was, with her blond hair down at her back. “Excuse me?” Jane stopped her at once, “you can’t just walk in…” “A shooting at New York years back,” the lady smiled, pushing her fingers away from her bare skin. Jane was mute, she blinked a lot of times more than she could count. The shooting was her secret, how did this lady get to know about it? “Who are you?”

LENS

LENS

I arrived at the address that the man gave me. The place looks like an abandoned rest house. It is big and beautiful if it is fixed. I walk slowly to avoid creating noise because I don’t want him to know that I am already here. The place is dark and quiet. I looked around and I saw a piece of wood that I can use as a weapon to fight the monster who captured my queen. I went inside and I saw Grey’s dead body wrapped in plastic. I looked at him closer. His eyes have almost popped out, his mouth is open and his body is full of bruises and wounds. “I am sorry buddy,” I said in my head. I didn’t expect that I would see him dead. Whoever killed him is evil and I know he is the one who has Lady. S

Punished by His Love

Punished by His Love

"I've always known that something was off with this woman. The clothes she wears are so old and out of date, when her skin is as delicate and smooth as any other ordinary woman. I guessed that she had a fight with her husband and ran out, but it seems like that's not the case. She was probably kept as a pet by some powerful patron, who tried to run with the unborn child in her belly so that she could hold the child as her leverage against that man when she goes back, and now her patron has found her. Sigh… how pitiful." Jane had given up on asking Alex about it in the midst of all the noises from the crowd. The gathering crowd had made her realize what was going to happen to her. It seemed t

Excellent! I have been reading this book for months and I can’t put it down. I enjoy it and wish you would not make me wait so long to continue reading the next chapters. It is repetitive a lot but I can skip over to get to the important part. I will give you a 4.5 because of the repetitiveness.

Miss Gray’s Vengeance

Miss Gray’s Vengeance

She looked little to nothing like him and the lady who just walked in was a copy-and-paste version of her father. The lady stepped forward, bowing her head before them. “Hello everyone, sorry for interrupting your meal. I’m Genevieve Brent Gray.” “What is your name again?” Mr Gray rose from the chair followed by everyone else. They stood, frozen in shock. “Genevieve Brent Gray.” Noah groaned. “Say that name again and I’ll make sure you won’t be able to say a word in your whole life.” “I’m sorry, you are?” She looked him over, her eyes glinting at his sight. “Oh Mr Hank, you’re here.”

Shattered Reflections

Shattered Reflections

The longer they were blind to her true identity, the easier it would be to dismantle their lives piece by piece. Elara turned away from the balcony and re-entered the ballroom, her movements graceful and controlled. The gown she wore—emerald green silk that flowed like water around her—caught the light as she moved, drawing the eyes of those around her. She could feel their gazes on her, the curiosity and speculation that had followed her since she first arrived in the city. Elena Grey had quickly become the subject of whispers, a mysterious figure who had appeared seemingly out of nowhere, capturing the attention of society with her beauty and poise.

Enslaved to a ruthless alpha

Enslaved to a ruthless alpha

Lady Josephine yelled at the top of her voice, but it all fell on deaf ears just like Lady Arya, Grace held my hand tightly while we cried quietly, I could don’t want my cries to be heard because I was afraid of what could happen to me. Lady Josephine was untied from the willow tree and dragged to the guillotine, her head was placed on the wood and was locked, the angled blade that was suspended at the top of the guillotine was let down, and it went straight to Lady Josephine’s neck, separating her head from the rest of her body, I gasped and Grace hold on me got tighter.

The Crime Syndicate And His Assassin Ex-Wife

The Crime Syndicate And His Assassin Ex-Wife

"I've seen enough evidence to confirm it, Grey. The Devil Queen... she is none other than Lady Victoria Kensington." Grey's eyes widened in disbelief. "Lady Victoria? The esteemed socialite and philanthropist? How is that possible?" Aiden's gaze hardened, determination etched onto his face. "Appearances can be deceiving, my friend. Lady Victoria has managed to hide her true nature behind a facade of wealth and status. But we now hold the key to exposing her crimes and stopping her reign of terror." Grey's brows furrowed with concern. "But what if she finds out we've discovered her true identity? She's proven herself to be cunning and ruthless."

Defy Me If You Can

Defy Me If You Can

Jane rushed to the top of the staircase, her black loafers making a dull sound as she huffed, finally reaching the highest floor which took more time than she thought it would. A part of her even regretted looking too amazed at the mansion. What will that blind man do to her if she's late? Jane gulped dryly. The severed head... she couldn't bring herself to ask Wren about it but seeing that she was at ease speaking about the young master, Victor Mildred, she wondered if his murders were ever known by the outside world.

PROFESSOR GREY'S GIRL

PROFESSOR GREY'S GIRL

Hanging my bag on my shoulder, I followed him outside, stroking out of his room as we made our way to the main hall. “Have you gone insane, Christian? How could you do that to Katherine—” the woman’s voice quickly halted immediately I reached her sight, stepping away from the shadow of Professor Grey. “Hannah didn’t inform me you had a guest.” Her eyes stilled on me for a second more before pushing back to the man. “Good day to you too, Brown,” Professor Grey greeted her before introducing me to her. “Brown, this is Ms. Julianna Gabbys.” “Hi there, it’s nice meeting you,” said the woman to me. She appeared really nice too. She was probably the only person associated with Professor Grey who s

Poor Jane. It’s hard not to read any historical fiction about her and just feel this immense wave of pity. The 'Nine-Day Queen' is practically a built-in tragic heroine—this incredibly smart, pious teenage girl who never wanted the crown, manipulated by ruthless political players (looking at you, John Dudley), and then executed at seventeen. A lot of novels really lean into that victim narrative, painting her as this passive, almost saintly figure. I found 'Innocent Traitor' by Alison Weir did that, and while it was moving, it sometimes felt like Jane was just a leaf caught in a storm, without much internal agency. Still, it’s a powerful starting point.

Lately, though, I've seen authors trying to give her more bite. The tragedy is still central, but they’re exploring the girl who was a staunch Protestant scholar, who could argue theology with learned men, who had her own fierce convictions. That version of Jane feels more real to me. She wasn't just a pawn; she was a person with a spine of steel and very strong opinions, which makes her fate even more gut-wrenching. The fiction that captures that tension—between her unworldly faith and the brutal political reality—hits hardest.
