She nodded.
They crept into the room. Ellie stayed right at his back, as they walked slowly forward. It was a storage room filled with crates and tires. Near the back, another door hung open with a light shining brightly through it, illuminating the crates and casting long shadows over the floor.
Once they reached the open door, Tom stuck his head through and looked at the large room. Concrete blocks made up the walls, giving it a cold, solid appearance. Bunk beds lined the walls. The two doors at the back labeled "Men's" and "Women's" stood closed. In the corner, there was a counter with a sink and stove. Next to it was stacked twenty or so buckets of instant meals.
