Well, maybe I shall heal in time. A heavy sigh escapes my lungs, marveling the long night awaits. I know I won't easily get asleep right now, I usually don't, and it's only two a.m. Damn my life! I take a deep yawn while grabbing the bottle of water from the nightstand and gulp a bit. "Ah, that's better," I breathe, my throat refreshed. Fully aware of the resentment I have towards sweating, the summer has decided to grant me a vengeful visit. I quickly get up and turn on the fan, which allows my body to cool off gradually. The L.A heat is no joke this year.

Once Hayden and Camryn ended their call, Hayden shouted at the unruly bunch of children, “Jace York, your big brother is back, and so is Lil’ Pie. Let’s head back. You’ve played enough.” Each kid was covered in sweat. Many fans had been installed here, but it could not stave off the summer heat. Winters in Wiltspoon were not cold, but its summers were terribly hot. Plus, summer lasted especially long in Wiltspoon. Wiltspoonians would already have the fans going while it was still cold in other provinces, and would be glued to the air conditioning by the time others stopped wearing layers. “Mom, is Lil’ Pie back? I miss her so much,” Jax ran over to his mother and asked.

And to be honest, it is a great help. I guess I got enough strong reasons to help myself to recover faster from the trauma that I got because of that nightmare. Each session helped me get back my sleep routine to normal. I have slept well since then even though I am all alone inside my room but I still need to lighten up all my room for that. I think that is the only thing that I can’t just take back. Not yet. But whenever I have someone beside me since Miracle and Aasiyah are often asked to sleep beside me, I can sleep with the light off.

Patrick replied. After dinner they took a walk on the beach. The sky was dark, there were very few stars in the sky and no moon. Summer broke down and cried in her father's arms and he comforted her. "Let it all out." Patrick patted her hair." Tomorrow you will be a new person, leaving all your heart ache behind. Bobby Styles will wish he had never betrayed you." Summer sniffled and wiped her tears. A smile spread across her lips. Her father was right. She was going to re invent herself and come back better than ever.

“Totally thrives on this. Loves every second.” I nod. “Yep. And Josh… well, he’s chaos incarnate.” We both laugh softly, glancing at the boys and then back at Gavin, noticing the subtle way he shifts his weight, always quietly aware, letting the antics play out around him. “And that,” Gemma whispers, grinning, “is why summer will never be boring with this crew.” I chuckle, letting the thought settle in. “Never boring… definitely not.” Eben stretches dramatically, still dripping, and grins. “By the way… bonfire tonight. Full-on chaos. Fire, drinks, music—the works. Don’t worry, it’s going to be wild.”

Maybe I was destined to feel this only for him. "Well we have to leave you now, Joshua has to open up the salon and I have to meet with the real estate agency." Anthony said as he and Joshua got up. "Well see each other this weekend for camping, Summer you said you know a perfect spot." Huh, Summer had no clue, somehow I think she never even went camping. "Yes, my driver will pick us all up and drop us off." Summer said, her eyes shined as she looked at Anthony. It was either the shine of love or the shine of a hangover, either way it was nice to see.

The heat wave continues, and so do we—stolen afternoons, midnight swims, bodies tangled under the stars. Endless summer, endless us.

“A baby. My baby has a baby, I’m a grandma. Davis, we have a grandchild.” “Actually, three mom.” Summer said, looking at Dawson. “They aren’t exactly babies any more. They are seven years old.” I thought she was going to faint, but she just sat down with the shock. I guess today has been overwhelming for them. But it’s not over yet and it’s going to get more stressful for them when Nathan and Rayne show up.

My phone lights up. Riri: I’m here na. I perked up and wiped my nose, making myself presentable. The door opens, catching my attention. Brye found my eyes and he smiled. “Let’s go? We have to get dinner pa” he said before carrying my bag. I nodded and stood from my seat and went out with him. We got to his car in silence. On the way there, the window of the back seat was open, revealing Michael, Nathan, and Katherine. My brows went up and looked up at Brye after greeting Michael. “Oh, yeah, fuck I forgot, they’re crashing at my unit mamaya, we have something to do all night, I’m nearest sa university, so my unit was chosen,” he tells me. Summer Love. I didn't think the summer part mattered. Sure we did fall in love during the summer. That doesn't mean I didn't expect it to last past that. It didn't matter to me that he was Nathan Kalis's school-bad boy. To me, he was just Nathan. The man couldn't go more than ten minutes before demanding a kiss.
