Summer Camp

Summer Camp

Aiden says yanking down my blanket and grabbing hold of my wrist. “Aiden...ahh...leave me! It's sunday. I'm not coming," I say, opening my eyes a little and noticing he is already wearing his tracksuit and sneakers. "Look, I have early morning practice from tomorrow onwards. Today's the only day I can sleep peacefully before school reopens,” I whine, pulling my hands back. But he has an iron grip on my wrist and he keeps pulling me forward. So, I at last, bite his arm. He yelps, instantly withdrawing his hand and I smirk, pulling up my covers.

Tonight we are young.

Tonight we are young.

Molly sat motionless, her legs in the pool as she stared blankly into the water, comparing the reflection of heavenly bodies. The moon was almost full and the stars shone brightly lit, making her want to wander away from the painful realities and the mistakes she had caused. Her residence had been a living hell for her to stay alone without getting drunk, she begged Leah and Sam to stay with her even if it would be for one night. As good friends, Sam and Leah decided to make her come over to Sam's house to have a slumber party.

Song of the Winter Solstice

Song of the Winter Solstice

My life's a feat though I've tasted defeat. I have fought so true as my heart beats. Go away memory, go away, go away! Leave with my soul as my body falls in the hay. Let there be strown on my lonely grave. Honor me as a friend, a warrior so brave. Tis, my last words shall be brought forth. As the deadly solstice forest embraces my fate. Remember me. Remember me, with or without grace...

Seven Years of Winter Before Spring

Seven Years of Winter Before Spring

“Have it while it’s warm.” Miles suddenly rose to his feet and walked into the kitchen, picking up that apron. The fabric was soft, carrying a faint scent of cooking smoke. He clenched it in his hands, then let go. The rain fell harder, streaking the windows. Trees outside bent and swayed in the wind. Miles stood by the window, staring at his reflection. He suddenly remembered how terrified Wendy had been of thunderstorms. On rainy days, she used to curl up in his arms, burying her face in his chest.

HIGH SCHOOL LIFE

HIGH SCHOOL LIFE

# FLASHBACK It was summer, one of the four Earth's seasons, that goes after spring and foreshadows Autumn. Kevin glanced at the trees bearing fruits and feels Summer is the best season ever. The warmth and everything make it perfect. No wonder most families like to go on vacation during summer. He went back to the mirror for the umpteenth time checking himself out again. He was dressed in a checkered shirt themed with a pair of blue jeans and black shoes. His mind kept beating fast, trying not to lose his focus on one of the important things he wanted to do today. He noticed a little pimple on the upper part of his head and that alone makes him feel he is not perfect.

The Billionaire's Hot Nanny

The Billionaire's Hot Nanny

Summer giggled and squeezed my hand tighter, reveling in the love and laughter that filled our evening stroll. Inside the ice cream parlor, Hollis made all of us sit at a table as he went to order our favorite flavors. Summer’s eyes sparkled with excitement as she eagerly anticipated her scoop of mint chocolate chip. “Thank you; it’s because Daddy brought us here,” she said sweetly, making my heart swell with pride. “You guys never had a family outing like this before,” I asked, shocked, and Summer shook her head, her smile widening. “Nope, this is the best day ever,” she exclaimed, her eyes shining with happiness. I brushed her hair out of her face and couldn’t help but feel grateful for th

Memoir of Summer

Memoir of Summer

Chapter V: Memories It was a little blurry and muddled but Ren was sure it was a tiny memory of long back then. It was from one of his adventures as a rebellious child, he’s small though. He likes to escape and sneaks out of the house whenever the babysitter has fallen asleep, but Ren is a good little kid you see, he always makes sure to be back before they notice he’s missing. It was near winter, the remnants of autumn season was slowly fading and the wind began to get more chilly in the morning and every night. Although not cold enough to puff a smoke when talking.

Sacrificed to the Dragon Prince

Sacrificed to the Dragon Prince

[Eleanora] A thousand years from now, when the memory of the world that was long ago fades away into the knowledge of the world that is to come, our children and our grandchildren will ask, “Where were you during the great blackout? Where were you when the stars fell?” Our eyes, cloudy with age, will look to the horizon as we remember how it was a dark night, a night without a moon, with the stars twinkling brightly above our heads. The wind was warm with the first kiss of summer, the chill of spring slowly fading as the sound of young birds filled the night. Everything was ordinary, as it should be. A night without surprises.

The writing is clunky at times, but the story and the characters are mesmerizing. This was my first dragon romance, and it was incredible. So glad the sequel has already started because the ending is criminal. I want to see all my favorites find their happiness.
