Moon Touched
“I hate this.”
Katia steps closer, resting her forehead briefly against his. “I know.”
“But you trust us,” Selene adds smugly.
Nathan groans. “That’s the problem.”
Lorn shakes his head slowly. “The moon sisters keep their secrets.”
Selene lifts her chin. “Always have.”
Above them, the moon drifts behind a thin veil of cloud.
And far away, on an island wrapped in wards and choice, two pups, held in their mother’s arms, look out at the sea and wonder why the night feels like it’s holding its breath.
