Primal Craving

Primal Craving

"All warfare is based on deception." — Sun Tzu. DARIUS You don’t get close to a monster without letting him think you’re one too. The girls at the exhibition were currently in my pack because we’d bought them all. And finally, after two weeks, Leonardo sent for me. “Are you even sure about this?” Alaric asked, walking into the room. He was against it. Honestly, years ago, I would’ve been too. “Yep,” I answered, buttoning my jacket and pretending not to notice the way his frown deepened in the mirror.

Crazy Adventures

Crazy Adventures

"Our Brazilian friends helped us get Susan to her hotel safely to grab her passport and anything important and to go to a bank to get some cash money to pay for whatever we needed, including the charter. I knew that we couldn't let her use a credit card. That kind of a transaction is all too easy to trace, so everything was going to have to be done in cash to minimize our trail's footprint. Half an hour into the flight, I offered the pilot more than enough money to get him to change his flight plan to Grand Cayman." "Sun Tzu had a lot to say about misdirection," Zach explained. "Sun Tzu was a Chinese general, military strategist, writer, and philosopher who lived in the Eastern Zhou period o

Tangled with the CEO

Tangled with the CEO

What a joke! His designer suit concealed a purebred predator, for he was a highly aggressive and clever player who took advantage of every tactical opportunity to Attack. A concept from Sun Tzu’s The Art of war flashed in my mind-the opportunity of defeating the enemy lay within the enemy himself…discovering my weaknesses and finding my vulnerabilities was made easy by my enthusiasm to satisfy him. He had never really talked to me, I thought numbly. We never had serious discussions. Not from him. It was always me- ranting, sobbing, pouring my heart out. I had been like a pretty little doll to him, an entertaining novelty he had picked up and decided to play master, and I had been too captiva

Cat Who Walks Thru The Wall

Cat Who Walks Thru The Wall

Ning Zhuo could see that there was an easy playfulness to the duo as they seemed to be real brothers in this struggle. General Gongsun shook his head as he pulled Ning Zhuo inside. Outside Ao Guong started to protest, but as they neared the city, the colonel seemed serious. Ning Zhuo remembered to pay his respects properly this time. He could see that the general was reading a book that was farmiliar to him, a book on war tactics involving using waterways to overwhelm the enemy covertly. "Lieutenant, what are your opinions on water ways in Taizhou?"

They all look at each other, confused about what I mean but then nod in agreement as they follow along. We go to Tim's office since it's the nearest to the Hall. We took our seats and then all eyes are on me. I sigh before I started talking. It was nerve-wracking to have all eyes on me even tho it was just three people. "Okay, it's been decided that we have three people to hunt but so far we don't have enough information on who we're hunting. There's a saying 'in order to defeat your enemy you must know your enemy' so-" I was cut off by Tim as he shockingly said"Wait wait, did you just quote Sun Tzu? For real?!" I was baffled at his words since Sun Tzu is a famous figure. Who didn't know him

The Ties The Bond Us

The Ties The Bond Us

"Seriously? You think only you alphas can be strategic thinkers? Anyone can learn this shit if they put in the effort and have access to the right materials." "What exactly did you read?" another elder asked, skepticism still dripping from his voice. "Everything," I said with a shrug. "The 48 Laws of Power, The Art of War, On War, and The Book of Five Rings. I even went through historical campaign texts, old border strategies, diplomatic conflicts. I've got them all memorized—every tactic, every major misstep made by arrogant leaders who thought their strength alone would save them." Their expressions slowly shifted from guarded disbelief to something resembling grudging respect. One leaned

He meant it and I had to watch what I say or do around him or Nigel. “The supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting. Shin Tzu something,” “Sun Tzu,” I corrected. “What do you mean by that?” “It means I know Nick,” I said his name trying to see if he would react but he didn’t so I continued, “And right now I know he is making his move or moves. I know he isn’t done yet.” “What are you saying?” James' focus was on me now. “Have you ever heard of the saying, Engage people with what they expect; it is what they are able to discern and confirms their projections. It settles them into predictable patterns of response, occupying their minds while you wait for the extraordinary mome

Sacrificed To The Alpha

Sacrificed To The Alpha

When she found it, she took it home with her. The Art of War was a famous ancient Chinese text written by Sun Tzu, a general who served as the Chancellor of Shu during the Sixteen Kingdoms period. In the book, Sun Tzu wrote about war and strategy. One of the greatest lessons he taught was to remain calm, even when facing your enemies. Jewel opened up the book and turned to chapter four. It was titled, "Know Your Enemy."

The CEO's Contractual Wife

"Those records stay locked away unless someone gives me a reason to look. I'm not interested in random people's offshore accounts." "Just your enemies." "Just the people who threaten what's important to me." His foot found mine under the table. "That's how this works. You protect what matters." I understood the implication. He was protecting his position at Carter Enterprises. Protecting Carter Enterprises. Protecting his future. Protecting us, in whatever weird way this arrangement had evolved into. "So you're basically building an arsenal without firing a shot," I said. "Deterrence is more effective than actual warfare." He refilled my wine glass. "Sun Tzu said the supreme art of war is to

I am reading this book and the other book you are currently serialising. Both have exceptional storylines, excellent grammar and I am absolutely obsessed with reading them. My only disappointment is with this novel you are only updating every weeks with between 5-7 chapters which is no enough.

So sorry to hear the author is recovering from illness. Hope he will continue this story when he is able. This is one of the best books I have read in a long time. Praying for a speedy recovery for him!
