From the back of her mind dziadzia’s (pronounced jah-jah, which meant grandfather in Polish) voice whispered a platitude that sent a shard of pain through her as she’d heard it so clearly it felt like he was by her side. It was an oft quoted line from Sun Tzu’s The Art of War, one of the earliest books on strategy he’d had her learn when he first started tutoring her. One of the only books whose words she knew could quote line for line if she had to, the product of hours’ worth of labor. Hold out baits to entice the enemy. Feign disorder, and crush him. Camille let slip her first real smile of the evening. ⠀⠀⠀⠀▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Shouldn’t you be teaching me those tactics? “No, that’s not a good idea. Keep in mind that being natural is the name of the game. Start a conversation by making a comment about the present situation and the immediate environment. Always be aware of your surroundings.” {Hmm. Know your terrain. Sun Tzu. I dig it.} He treats the whole affair like a war campaign and I can’t blame him. Destruction and the taking of life are the only things he knows. But coming from Sun Tzu, there are more relevant maxims for him: knowing oneself and one’s enemy.

“Huh? What are you talking about?” Nollace answered patiently, “It’s a book regarding the art of war that I read in the past. It has been passed down since ancient times. It says that one won’t have to worry about the outcome of a war if they know themselves and their enemy well. If they only know themselves well but not their enemy, they might lose their battle. However, if they don’t know themselves and their enemy well, they will lose all their battles.” King William nodded understandingly and said, “It seems like I need to read that book when I’m free.”

I've read to 2095 chapters Very interesting story, especially when the triplets are grown up. The negative is the story once the twin are older, drags. Aso the Author left the last chapter incomplete, where she could easily have wrote the next chapters. When is the Author releasing the next chapter

Marking, mating, making her mine? I force myself to focus, especially in Art of War where we learn that we’re going to not only learn to fight, but learn to fight with different weapons, bows and arrows, knives, and whatever we can find around us if we’re caught off guard and taken down by our opponent. We’ll also be learning different hold techniques and how to get out of holds.

This book is a number one hit. I accidentally read the second book before I knew there was a first book. Therefore I next read the first book. The first book included the second so I ended up reading the second book again. I’m so looking forward to the next book. I love the characters.

After that, I returned to wandering around the whole place, looking for the books that we were going to use. I stopped at the part where the books were arranged and took the one that caught my interest. I blew air to it to remove the dust that was covering the book and read what the title says in our own language. The Art of War. I looked into another book, the title that was written on it was Heart of a Warrior. I grinned and took other books that were needed and related to combat and being a warrior. I STOPPED by the window of this room, the assembly hall. Along with my halted steps were the pauses of the people that were walking behind me.

I am reading this book and the other book you are currently serialising. Both have exceptional storylines, excellent grammar and I am absolutely obsessed with reading them. My only disappointment is with this novel you are only updating every weeks with between 5-7 chapters which is no enough.

Absolutely love the two leads! Great book so far, can't put it down. Loving the way their love story is unfurling. Can't wait to reread it from start to finish when it finishes... but so far loving every new chapter as they come out! One of my favorite books. Keep it up!!! ...️

“How to build leverage. Read people. Find cracks in their masks.” He studied her for a long moment. Then he stood and walked to a nearby bookshelf, pulling down a thin, worn book. He handed it to her. “The Art of War.” “Elara,” he said, voice calm, “there are rules to this kind of war. And the first is understanding that most battles are won before they’re ever fought.” She took the book, her fingers tracing the faded cover. “Then I better start reading.” That night, as she sat curled up in the corner of her new room, flipping through chapters of Sun Tzu, she didn’t feel like a victim anymore.

Sun Tzu's 'The Art of War' is an ancient Chinese treatise that dives deep into the philosophy and strategy of warfare. It’s written in a poetic style, packed with aphorisms and insight, making it a classic not just for military leaders, but also for business executives and anyone facing competitive challenges. The crux of Sun Tzu's argument is that the greatest victory is one achieved without fighting. Instead of brute force, he emphasizes the importance of strategy, deception, and psychological warfare. He highlights how understanding both your enemy and yourself leads to successful outcomes, which is why knowledge is such a key theme throughout the text.

The book is outlined in multiple chapters, each focusing on different aspects of warfare. There’s a strong focus on planning, leading, and adapting to changing circumstances. For instance, Sun Tzu discusses the significance of terrain and how it affects battle outcomes, which serves as a metaphor for positioning in any competitive landscape. His advice is practically a guidebook for life, teaching lessons about patience, adaptability, and anticipating changes in your environment.

Even today, the principles found in 'The Art of War' are utilized in various fields—think negotiations, project management, and even sports. How cool is it that a book written centuries ago continues to inspire modern leaders? It's like a timeless strategy playbook that reminds us that warfare isn’t just about physical battles but also about the mental game, emphasizing strategy over sheer force. Every time I revisit it, I find new layers of wisdom that apply not just in competitive fields but in everyday life, too!
