"We're lucky to have you." I felt a warmth spread through me at his words. "Thanks, Zane. That means a lot." I said. After our chat, I headed back home, the evening sun casting a warm glow over the pack grounds. As I walked, I heard Adrian's words in my head. I jumped at his sudden voice. Adrian: I’m sorry for scaring you. He said, chuckling. Me: It’s okay. I tried to calm myself and listen. Adrian: I just want to tell you that I’m away for work. Won’t be back until midnight. Don’t wait for me.

Riley smiled at Agnes. Agnes motioned to zip her mouth. "Well, we better get going. I am sure you two are tired from the flight." Resty offrred. Riley and I nodded our head and get in the car. "I am sorry to inform you both but you have to start tomorrow already." Resty informed us while driving. Riley sigh. "Well, It is always been like this and I am already used to it. I worry about Gracelyn. You think you can handle it?".

Sunny sighed inwardly, fearing this misunderstanding might never clear up. After leaving the villa, Sunny headed straight to the company. "Sunny, you're back? Where've you been?" her assistant Sabrina greeted her immediately. Sunny replied absentmindedly, and Sabrina's eyes flickered as she suggested, "You mentioned wanting to go shopping before. I'm free now. Let's go!" "I'm not in the mood now. Maybe another day." Sunny forced a smile. Sabrina's expression shifted, but she didn't press further. In the evening, Sunny returned to Leo's place, where he was already seated on the sofa.

SHAWN One minute I’m sitting on my bed, still in yesterday’s clothes, staring at nothing in particular and the next, I’m waking up to sunlight cutting through the curtains and a dull heaviness sitting behind my eyes. For a second, everything feels normal. Then it comes back.The pack. The bond. Kane. I exhale slowly, dragging a hand over my face before reaching for my phone on the nightstand. I switched it on before sitting on the warm flooring, grabbing a blanket from the futon. He sat beside me without asking. Now he was tailing me again. I kept my eyes fixed on the screen. The news anchor appeared, the snowy city behind her. “Good news to the people of Algard,” she announced brightly. My fingers tightened slightly around the edge of the blanket. “The snow is finally going to stop tomorrow, as per the predictions of our meteorologists.” The room fell silent. Even Irene paused her knitting. My heart skipped. Beside me, I felt him go still. Tomorrow. The snow will finally stop tomorrow.

Caellum said to me in a concerned voice. “And she also needs to travel tomorrow.” Vincent added, and I looked at him in confusion. “Divorce certificate.” He reminded me flatly. I pursed my lips into a thin line and closed my eyes. So, tomorrow is the day when I will cut all my ties with Gabriel.
