Superhuman Abilities Novels & Stories

His bargaining tone, as far as I could tell. "What d'you mean?" "You have abilities, well-honed special skills—we all know that. You just don't know what to do with them yet, or how to make use of them to...y'know, do your job better." Abilities? I scoffed at the comment. "But once you figure everything out, you'll be able to manage it better. Less stress for you then." How? Did I have superpowers now? Superhuman strength? Shooting laser beams through my eyes? Moving faster than the speed of light?

The people here could have extraordinary powers when they wielded them. But there is one condition that required for someone to make use of them. That is Talent, the old Eduard was sent here by his family due to his incapability in wielding either of the two. Everyone should be capable to wield them as long as they practiced, but he was one of the special cases that can not have the chance to use them. "System what are your abilities?". He asked. He is expecting to heard a response from the system. Eduard waited for the system response but only the display on the screen change. Displaying some rowdy words.

Biological son? I frowned. So I wasn't their biological son. But what they said next stunned me even more. "Of course we'll help you. You're our son. We only adopted Swain because he already had a superpower at a young age!" My mother complained but still lovingly stroked Chris' head. She then poured a white powder into the wine with shaking hands. "We went out of our way to obtain this drug. After consuming it, a person will lose their superpower, no matter how strong it is. When the superpower sharing system completely shuts down, the spatial power will belong only to you."

Secondly, it serves as a form of appeasement. In the Crimson Alliance, the divide between the superpowered and ordinary humans is sharp and intense. The power held by the superpowered is worlds apart from that of regular humans, to the point where the two are seen almost as separate species—like dragons and sheep. This has led many superpowered individuals to develop a sense of superiority. Some extremists even disregard human life entirely. Malicious crimes committed by superpowered individuals are not uncommon.

"Let me fucking go!” “Well, shit, since you asked so nicely, I guess I will,” I say, releasing him. His eyes widen once more in surprise, and then he’s scrambling up. Or at least trying to. He instantly drops back down, but he’s not deterred. Desperation is more potent than a bullet wound to the knee. If the government could bottle that particular emotion, they could create an army of superhumans. It’s the driving force that creates extraordinary abilities. Lifting a car of your dying child trapped beneath the tire. Running with a broken leg. Or rather, running with a kneecap shot out.

"Of course. As for my only brother who is younger than I am, he decided to isolate himself," "What if I may ask?" "Reading about science and the possibility of tapping into our hidden strength?" Lillith laughed. "I'm sorry but I find this funny. Isn't this all that there is to our being? Superhuman strength, vision, speed, hearing and smell? Doesn't it end there?"

The words painted a vivid picture of their extraordinary abilities, transcending the boundaries of what I had once believed to be possible. Werewolves possessed superhuman strength in all their forms; their human guise, their intermediate state, and their fearsome wolf-like manifestation. The power scale, however, differed across these forms, with their strength reaching its peak in their formidable wolf-like shape. It was a realization that left me in awe of their primal might and the sheer magnitude of their existence.

"I don't expect you to understand." "Because I am human, right?, we've gone over that too many times and you have to get used to that, you took me, your brought me here, not the other way around" "You are angry?" "I'm not" I lied "You look angry." "Oh, so now you read emotions too, what other superpowers do you have?" "They aren't super powers." "Well, I wasn't born with them, and no human has incredible strength; did you actually know that they heard us... all the sex noise?"

I would have to test the triplets and then confront them with evidence. It wasn’t a great plan, but it was a plan. I would just have to figure out how. I knew from my research that werewolves in human form have superhuman speed and strength and they have the ability to heal their own injuries quickly. There were a lot of other things that separated them from humans, like heightened sense of smell and vision, dexterity, and better balance than a human, but the super speed and healing powers would probably be the easiest to test.
