She clung to me then, her eyes wide and glassy, her voice trembling with a sudden vulnerability.
“I’ve missed you, Aria,” she murmured, “I miss those days when we’d come over as kids for the holidays… your parents, mine… but now they’re all gone.”

“You remember that summer… we were forced to go camping… in the countryside… and we sneaked out… at night?”
I remained silent.
