Summer Love. I didn't think the summer part mattered. Sure we did fall in love during the summer. That doesn't mean I didn't expect it to last past that. It didn't matter to me that he was Nathan Kalis's school-bad boy. To me, he was just Nathan. The man couldn't go more than ten minutes before demanding a kiss. Aria continued. “And you’re here because deep down, every one of you knows you can’t stop him alone.” That struck home. She saw it immediately. The realization. The uncomfortable truth. I forced panic into my voice. Dominic stammered before finally snapping out of it and dialing emergency services. The boiling red chili blistered their faces instantly. As they rubbed frantically at the burns, the skin sloughed away, exposing raw flesh beneath. It was horrifying to look at.

When she saw me bringing back more supplies, she grew mad at me.

Lottie says into my ear as I quickly hug her. I rush over to Summer. Placing my hands directly on her chest. “Summer, Summer, can you hear me?” She can’t speak, but nods once.
