Why are you here so late?" I asked, realizing the time. "I just wanted to check in on you," Swan sighed, grabbing a danish. "I am holding up, but I am not sure how long I can keep up the facade. I want out," I confessed. "Have you considered speaking with the King? He fancies you," she giggled. "He does not! I am beneath his station," I said, biting my lip.
