She reached over and slapped a hand on the snooze button and then focused to make sure she was in her room. She blew out a breath and tried to shake the fog from her mind. That explained a few things. The dream was so real, but not at the same time. Too bad, really. That man, Dominic, her mind had invented was quite nice to look at. No more chocolate caramel popcorn for you before bed, she thought as she slowly sat up.

The sheets tangled at the foot of the bed, but my heart beat is already slowing because I’m at home safe and secure from any of those monsters out there in the woods. It was just a nightmare. That’s why I declined, not because I was afraid of Jake not showing up. The nights were full of dark dreams about wet things living deep in watery pools. I didn’t sleep well, so I found myself dozing under the trees on the edge of our property in between chores. Unfortunately, those naps weren’t all that restful either, because every time I closed my eyes I was Jake again, swinging away at that stone chest. I’d have to jerk myself awake to avoid the rest of the nightmare.

Paige's POV My eyelids fluttered open and I took a deep breath. I just had another horrible nightmare and this time, I was being pulled apart by a vampire. My night had been filled with a series of horrid and terrible nightmares but each time I woke up, the injection I was given takes me back to slumberland and dropped me in the midst of another nightmare. It was a fucking cycle that I prayed would stop but I was too sleepy to even fight sleep and stay awake. At some point, I felt a presence around me and I was able to sleep without any nightmares until the last one I had just now before I woke up.

Which only makes me smile more. I finally fall asleep and drift into a dream. I see my father, he’s coming after me. His eyes bright red, nothing but hatred on his face. My mom runs up to him, trying to hold him back. He turns his anger to her and snaps her neck right in front of me. I scream and yell for her, but she doesn’t move. His face flashes to mine, with a creepy evil smile and bright red eyes focused on me. He starts running to me, “No!” I scream, but it doesn’t slow him. I turn to run but he pounces on my back. My moms face appears in front of me, “This is all your fault!” She screams. That’s last thing I remember before I wake up to someone screaming my name. “Amy! Amy, wake up!”

Jake's POV. I sprang out of bed, beads of sweat plastered on my face. Nightmares. The same nightmares have been taunting me since I can remember. A man in a tomb, blood, spells, mist. I would forget all that took place in the nightmare, but I could remember some bits and pieces. I sighed and strutted to the bathroom. We returned from the honeymoon last night. Violet and I. I did a quick wash of my face and headed down stairs to fix something to eat before going to work.

Drew said as he stopped his movements and looked at me with worry and curiosity, "Moony!" Dime's voice shouted from behind my door "AJ, come in quick!" Drew shouted as he continued to watch me, "I'm coming in," Dime said as she opened the door to see me on the floor shaking in fear and Drew not moving from the bed; "What did you do?" Dime growled as she slowly moved to me "She was having a nightmare," Drew explained as he watched Dime and me "Shit," Dime swore as she got on her knees and crawled over to me.
