Chapter 41: Endless Nightmare Abhay’s P.O.V It was snowing again. The ground was completely white. This part of the valley didn’t usually get much snow, but it was unusually cold this year. And I knew that it would only get colder, winter only a whisper in the air and yet it howled with a ferocious chill all around me.

I slumped in the chair and stalked the movement of his hands with my half-mast gaze. "Destroying what should have been destroyed years ago." With those whispered words, he brought the dancing flame to the cover of the book. Flames licked around the edges, blackening the pages until they withered and became a pale white. The ashes trickled down like the beginning of snow on a blistering winter night. Snow. Such a pure element to think of under such circumstances. Snow resembled a blank slate, new beginnings. Maybe this could have been what this was if I had burned the damn book the moment it landed in my possession.

She just wanted to crawl up in his arms and cry herself to sleep forever. After the last of her charting was done, Mory put on her boots and coat then started down the way to the automatic doors. I got there just as Chester's engagement party was starting. Right when Chester was about to slip the ring on Rose's finger, I burst into the room.
