The Substitute Bride of the Ruthless Mafia Boss

The Substitute Bride of the Ruthless Mafia Boss

Aware. He never saw us. When he was gone, I moved forward, pulling Brielle with me, my senses screaming. I approached the rock cautiously. Carved into the mossy surface, almost invisible unless you knew where to look, was a symbol. Crude, but unmistakable. A stylized wolf's head with a crescent moon between its jaws.

The Rejected Healer's Retribution

The Rejected Healer's Retribution

It was a communication marker used by Mora, the Shaman-Elara's mentor. Kael peeled open the bark. Inside, three symbols were scratched onto the smooth silver surface: - A deeply carved Omega symbol (signifying Elara's vulnerability/sacrifice). - A crude drawing of a Chained Hand (symbolizing her healing power being bound). - A directional arrow pointing Northwest (indicating her route). The final symbol was a single word, scratched deep enough to draw small splinters: "HURT." Mora wasn't just giving him directions; she was warning him. She knew the Shadow Wolf was more than a hunter; it was a tormentor. Elara wasn't just running away; she was drawing painful confrontations to herself.

The executioner and the Alpha King

The executioner and the Alpha King

I open it again. The chains on the shelves glint faintly in the low light, and the book on the pedestal sits like it hasn’t moved in centuries. My wolf stirs—slowly this time. No growling, no lurching. Just a steady presence, like he’s watching the room with the same awe I feel. I step forward and trace one of the symbols near the base of the pedestal. A split circle. Fire and water. Life and death. I breathe in deep. Ash, paper, dust. And something else. Something almost like… grief.

Fearing Fate

Fearing Fate

Tobias slumps back in his chair. “Me either.” Lucas agrees. Rubbing his hand down his face in frustration and fatigue. The symbol doesn’t look like it belongs to any pack. But it’s clearly some type of signature, or insignia of a group. It looked like the letter ‘u’, with a straight line going across the middle. I run my fingers through my hair, scratching my head in confusion and anger. I just kept repeating the one line left on the note. “Don’t trust a Stone farther than you can throw it.”

at first I thought this was going to be the same as all the other stories. dumb main characters with a jealous girl who wants what isn't hers. I was wrong. this book was fantastic. I'm so happy I stuck it out and can't wait until the next book is finished to read.

The Darkside of the Moon

The Darkside of the Moon

Like a shadow dancing in one’s periphery, a fractured sense of belonging haunts the fringes of an empty room. And yet, perhaps loneliness is the sculptor, and solitude the chisel, whittling away the superfluous to reveal the form beneath. Some seek company to escape it; others confront it to transform, finding that the hollow ache of solitude often hides the tender ember of self. In truth, perhaps our greatest intimacy lies not with others, but in the quiet discovery of the soul’s deep, uncharted corners. And maybe, just maybe, to stand alone is not to be abandoned but to be unfettered, with the freedom to be one’s own, undivided company… in Granny Minama’s words.

The Billionaire Alpha's Revenge

The Billionaire Alpha's Revenge

"A user who goes by a single codename." The image of his parents faded, replaced by a single, elegant symbol glowing in the dark. A snake, coiled in a circle, devouring its own tail. "Ouroboros."

Killed by Alpha Mate

Killed by Alpha Mate

Seraphine's voice echoed softly in the confined space, guiding our attention to a peculiar symbol etched into the stone floor. [Seraphine] [This symbol, it resonates with the essence of Dorian's emotions. It is a manifestation of his deepest fears and hopes, a reflection of the very core of his being. If we can unlock the meaning behind this symbol, we may gain access to the most profound memories he carries.] With newfound determination, we immersed ourselves in deciphering the symbol. Whispers Of The Moon's Spell

Whispers Of The Moon's Spell

The pillar glowed briefly, and the chamber filled with a soft hum. "That's one," Nathanial said, his voice tense. "Keep going." I moved to the next pillar, choosing the symbol for loyalty—a wolf standing by its pack. Again, the pillar glowed, and the hum grew louder. "Two down," I said, moving to the third pillar. "This one should be... wisdom." I pressed the symbol for wisdom—a wolf gazing at the moon—and the pillar glowed, the hum now a low, steady vibration. "Last one," Nathanial said, his eyes fixed on the final pillar. "What's it going to be?"

Wolf of Stone

Wolf of Stone

Once that was completed, I drew the five symbols of our clan. ♧ - will ◇ - courage ♡ - life ♤ - death ☆ - knowledge Once I was finished, I went to sit cross legged in the middle of the circle, placing the crystal right in front of me. I placed both my hands on the crystal's smooth surface and began to chant. "Hear my cry I call to thee From beneath the graves My family Unchain my soul Set me free Make me whole This is my plea Show me the secrets Of our line Show me the darkness

The Mansion

The Mansion

I can only write this from the solace of my study as this is my place of comfort, and safety. Death seems to be the only way out. You have clipped my wings and shut me off from the world. Why have you brought this darkness to your heart, my dearest? I see you being overcome by this malice and it pains me to see you succumbing to it. I still hold onto the hope that you will once again find the light. - D.S. Who could this be, she thought. As she was about to pocket the letter, she noticed a symbol drawn on its back. It seemed to be a serpent eating its own tail.
