Rhett began giving me details standing at the entrance of the door behind me. My eyes landed on the empty pedestal, the one that should have held Tala’s crown. Something Kellen had commissioned especially for her for tonight’s ceremony. “Fuck,” I sighed, catching Rhett and Dana’s attention “They stole the queen’s crown. How the fuck did they get in here?” I groaned, annoyed. Tonight was definitely turning into more of a shit show than it already was.
