My Fated Enemy
Saura locked her eyes on me, then added, “You should use the things she taught you, too. Remember what she told you, and use it.”
I closed my eyes again and returned to my tangled threads of light. Inhaling slowly, I picked the first thread, then another one, and another. Like before, the magic hummed, crooned gently, then sang. The words began to surface, but it wasn't a tongue I could understand. I kept untangling threads, and their light wrapped around me, humming, crooning, singing, until they became a symphony of bright sounds. Until they filled me with the song of their power.
