Tristan is silently sobbing. “I’m sorry.” Edward suddenly said. I looked at him. “I’m sorry we bring trouble here.” He continued. “I understand how Tristan feels. I got an older brother and I will avenge him too if ever something happens to him.” I said. “It’s just a wrong timing because we have important people here tonight.” Edward stay silent for a minute then continued. “Do you think you guys can manage?” “Of course. We are the best team.” I confidently answered.

At first, Edward couldn't believe it, but he quickly confirmed it was true. He stopped me and asked, "Why did you quit the club and start avoiding me?" Edward's face was full of hurt and disbelief, and it made my chest tighten. I had once liked him a lot. When I had heatstroke during an outdoor teambuilding trip, Edward was the one who carried me to the hospital. When I needed to rest on camping trips, he stayed nearby, gently fanning me and keeping mosquitoes away.

He was simply standing behind them and keeping an eye on them. Edward's team shifted their attention to Luis when they heard him taunting them. Edward gave him a stern look and prevented Luis from embarrassing his team in front of everyone. Edward firmly said, "Well, not this time." "Would you like to learn my secret?" Luis smiled and taunted them. Edward immediately replied, "I'm not interested," and turned to go.

"Edward, the company just pulled you from all scheduled appearances for the entire year. All your endorsements have been terminated, and you have to pay astronomical breach-of-contract penalties!" Edward stormed out the door, leaving Natalie frozen in place. Slowly, she balled her blistered, red hand into a fist, and a creeping coldness filled her eyes.

"I can't wait to see everyone in that container." Edward hurriedly gets up from the couch, his eyes sparkling in excitement at my words, like he wasn't just a sobbing mess. "You're gonna love them, I promise!" He licks his lips, and I wish I could unsee that image. "I get only the best girls."
