The Raven Wolf King: Wolfless
I hate how emotional I feel, how exposed and stupid.
I crawl into bed, pulling the blanket up to my chin. The sheets are cold.
I miss his warmth.
That’s what finally breaks me. My throat tightens, and before I can stop it, tears spill over. I press my face into the pillow, trying to muffle the sound, but it doesn’t matter. No one’s here to hear me. I curl onto my side, hugging the blanket to my chest like it can hold me together. My breathing comes in shaky bursts, and the more I try to stop crying, the harder it is to stop.
