Ceremony prep can wait.” “Ceremony?” I asked, licking a bit of sauce from my finger. Lily’s eyes sparkled. “Big welcome party for new pack members. You have to come. It’s the event of the month.”

I look to my sister, who is also fighting her laughter, knowing how this is about to go. “Well Elder Elijah, I am Beta Kitty and I pledged my loyalty to Alpha Benjamin and Luna Ares of Silver Moon, I’ve sworn to stay loyal to my Alpha and Luna, to protect them, their daughter, and this pack. I will protect them against everything, even inside threats, and the likes of you.” Kitty snarls, squaring up to the elder ready to fight, as her claws begin to extend.

Cat parked and turned to him. “So… which one do you prefer?” Jaden glanced at the menu casually. “Chocolate fudge and vanilla swirl. It’s my favorite.” Cat rolled her eyes. “Nobody asked if it’s your favorite.” Jaden smirked. “Last time I checked, you were one of my top fans.
