I routinely slapped a pain-relief patch onto my wrist before packing my things to head back to the dorms. The conductor approached me. “Naomi, we have a change of plans. Someone is taking your place. “I’m afraid you won’t be joining us for the performance next week.” … My mind went blank. From the age of seven to twenty-one, I went through fourteen years of tough seasons, just to gain this opportunity. I was just one step away from realizing my dream and fulfilling my mother’s dying wish. Yet now… Gritting my teeth, I asked heart-wrenchingly, “Sir, may I know who has been given my role?”

"So, my dear friends, tell me, what are your dreams? What do you envision for your future?" Katie took a moment to reflect, her gaze drifting to the window as if seeking inspiration from the world beyond. "I've always had this dream of opening my own art studio," she confessed. "A place where I can teach others to express themselves through art, and where I can continue to pursue my own artistic endeavors."

I have never discussed this with anyone before because I didn’t know who to talk to about this. “What are you thinking about? You’re frowning all of a sudden,” he asked. I turned to see him staring at my face. “Nothing. I’ve been having some bad dreams lately…” I confessed softly. “Nightmares? What do you dream of?” he asked with sudden interest. Now that he asked me about it, I didn’t know what I should tell him. My dreams were… “It’s nothing. I’m sure that it’ll go away soon. It better go away soon because it’s making me lose sleep,” I told him before laughing softly.

Alex replied, pausing the game. "I needed to talk to you," Oshey said reluctantly. "Ok, what about," Alex said, pausing his game. "Do you ever have visions or dreams of things you don't understand? I mean like a dream so real you don't know if it happened or not? What I mean is like a dream coming true, or waking up to find the dream was real."

"Tell me everything about your dreams." He raised his brows nonchalantly and clasped his hands. "There's nothing much that really happens. It just the girl has red hair and she appears in different places. That's all." "And what about the part when you feel her presence?" Charles stayed quiet, before answering he cleared his throat. "I don't know. I don't want to believe she's a ghost. I want to know if she really exists. So give me an exact meaning to my dreams."

I laugh nervously. “But…” I take a deep breath and spit the words out before I can change my mind, “I’ve been having these dreams for a while now. When I first started having them I didn’t know you, I hadn’t met you yet and the faces were kind of blurred but as time went by I’ve kept having the dreams and they’ve slowly progressed if that makes sense. I recently realized that I’ve been dreaming about people I know but also don’t know because it was definitely a different time period but I feel like it might be a sign of, like the future because I keep having them and I think it might be… a vision.”

BLAZE* "A dream I had about you and me a couple of months ago," I said, and Lyra gasped next to me. "You, you had a dream about us," Lyra asked, and she sat up, with surprise written all over her face. "I call it a dream, but it was so vivid, and it felt so real. Researchers call it lucid dreaming, I think. I'm so glad that you are back. I've been working myself to the bone to keep from going nuts," I said.

"What’s your biggest dream?" I pause, letting the weight of his question settle in. The sunset paints his face in warm hues, making his eyes sparkle. "My biggest dream?" I echo, pondering. "I think it’s to travel the world. To see places I’ve only read about, experience different cultures, and find inspiration in the beauty of our planet. And…" I hesitate, then smile. "To do it with you."

Tessa took his hand and pulled him down the hall. As he entered the room, he looked at Jennah and Dom and couldn’t help think that this scene started because of a dream. I say carefully sitting on the couch closest to me; afraid I will make it dirty since I have dirty clothes on. Leaning back against the high back of the couch as I start to slowly warm and I find myself fighting my fluttering eyelids; besides becoming warmer, Black Jack makes me feel safe now that I am sure he won't treat me badly. I can vaguely hear him talking on his phone as my head lulls to the side and my eyes remain shut as I drift off to sleep a dreamless slumber.
