he continued, turning to me with a wide smile. I froze, the question still on my tongue, but the opportunity was gone. "Oh! Yes!" I exclaimed, forcing my face into a look of relief. "We are home! I'm so happy to be back! That was a lovely trip, but nothing beats home." I lied. I unbuckled my seatbelt, the question tightening a grip on my heart.

We would be happy together. My story wasn't a tragedy anymore. It had a happy ending.

I talked to a few familiar faces and they all conveyed their thanks for me even though I reassured them that it had nothing to do with me. "What is it?", she asked me as soon as she saw me. I couldn't say anything but I hugged her tightly. "Are you ok?", she asked me confused. "I don't know what to say I'm more than happy. I'm ecstatic. I feel that I'm on top of the world", I said with a laugh. "Good. I'm very happy for you. But you have to tell me why", she said. "That is why I came", I said to her.

I continued, my voice low and full of quiet regret, "but I think about you all the time. You’re always with me, in my heart. And, well, in everything that’s happened lately, I’ve felt you... guiding me somehow." I let out a deep breath, the weight of my thoughts pressing against my chest. But this wasn’t a moment for sadness—not today. Today was for sharing the good things, the happiness I never thought I could have again. "Mom, you’ll never believe what’s happened. I’m happy. Really happy. I never thought I’d be able to say that again after everything we went through."

Yep , I knew it . "Okay , let me ask the question again, what makes you happy" I mumbled quietly . He stayed silent for awhile . He had to think about this one. "Honestly, I didn't have anything that made me happy...." he looked upset . "Didn't?" I questioned his past tense. "Until I met you" he finished his sentence . I felt my heart melt and the butterflies going crazy in my stomach .

You could be more. "I am happy here." I say, harsher than intended. I am happy here, I really am.

The words hung in the air, laden with the weight of newfound happiness. Alexa's eyes widened in response, her face a canvas of joy and surprise. “Woah, congrats, dear!” she exclaimed, her voice filled with genuine happiness. The room seemed to radiate with their shared jubilation, an eruption of pure elation that transcended their close friendship.

I asked, with a sad face on tho she couldn't see me but I was truthfully sorry. " Ofcourse I'm not, I'm instead glad that you are doing fine there, I mean if everything hasn't been good there, you would have informed me, but instead you didn't, I'm glad they're treating you well " She said and I could feel her excitement from here.
