THE UNSEEN HUSBAND Complete Story Synopsis Genre Historical Romance / Family Drama / Political Intrigue Set in a fantasy Mediterranean-inspired kingdom (early 1900s technology level) PREMISE Alessia Castellani Russo (23) receives divorce papers from her husband Sebastian Russo (27) after five years of marriage. They spent only one night together—a traditional ceremony in darkness where neither saw the other clearly—before he left at dawn for military duty and never returned. The divorce papers reveal Sebastian believes there are no children and that Alessia has been unfaithful with a merchant. But Alessia has triplets (Dante, Marco, and Lucia, age 4) from that one night, and she's been faithful despite years of believing she was abandoned. Alessia discovers that Sebastian's mother Helena has been intercepting ALL correspondence between them for five years—keeping Alessia's letters telling Sebastian about the children, and keeping Sebastian's letters asking about Alessia and sending money to support her. Helena embezzled all of Sebastian's money for herself and her biological children (Tomasso, Giuliana, and Catarina) while Alessia and the triplets lived in poverty as servants in Helena's house. Alessia decides to travel to the capital to tell Sebastian the truth before signing the divorce papers—so he'll at least know his children exist.

After I transmigrate into a Gary Stu novel as the evil male supporting lead, a system appears in my mind. It tells me that as long as I can conquer one of the female leads, I will be able to return to my original world with a healthy body. But I've failed in my conquest. There are a few female leads in this novel. There's the fake heiress, Leslie Jackman, who I have grown up with and have viewed as my older sister. The true heiress, Miranda Suller, is a boxer who happens to be seatmates with me during our high school times. My childhood sweetheart, Catherine Langdon, who's also a genius surgeon, happens to be one of the female leads too. Heck, even my own daughter, Natalie Jackman… my own flesh and blood… All of them are quick to fall for Gabriel Linner, the poor yet strong-willed young man who's also known as the Gary Stu of this novel. Because of that, they hate me deeply. The system sighs before telling me that as long as I can die in the hands of any of the female leads, it will let me return to my original world. Later on, I use all of the tricks up my sleeve and succeed in getting killed by the female leads. But why is it that they've lost their minds after I die?

"You keep saying he died of black magic, but you're not telling me exactly how he died. If what you're saying is true... what happened to him??" I ask her with a raise of my brows. "The magic consumed him. He became power hungry. He started absorbing the powers from members of our coven. He wanted it all for himself. He had to be put down. The windows to her room bang open and cool breeze is rushing in, making the papers in her room fly haphazardly. "Layla, you have to calm down." She motions towards me. "So the coven killed him?? They killed my father and you didn't do anything about it????" I scream at the top of my lungs, the lights still flickering, tears pooling in my eyes and wind blowing in through the windows. "He killed two people from our coven! His eyes were completely black! The magic had completely taken over him. Your dad wasn't there anymore. So yes, we killed him to protect the rest of the coven…"
