I knew exactly who I was. So who the fuck was the woman in my head?

"We shall one day stand on the stage of highest honor and shine as brightly as the sun." I muttered softly, "I did it, Shawn. If there's a next life, I hope you'll achieve the same." A gentle breeze caressed my ears. I finally let go of my past in pursuit of a brand new future.

“I’m not them.” A pause. Her grip loosens slightly. Not fully. But enough. “You don’t understand,” she says. “Then explain it.” “I can’t.” “Try.” Her eyes search mine. Desperate. Broken. Honest. “I don’t know who I am anymore.” The words hit harder than anything else. Because this— this is the truth. Not the fear. Not the running. This. I don’t hesitate. “You’re still you.” “No.” “Yes.” “No!” she snaps, pushing weakly against me. “That girl is gone!”

I know who I am! "Then why can't you say it?" the teenage me demanded, slamming her fist on the table. "Why can't you just say who you really are?" "Because it doesn't matter!" I shouted. "I have been all of those things. I am Camille!" "Been?" she mocked, her voice dripping with disdain. "You can't hide behind that forever." My hands trembled, and I looked around the table, seeking support from the other versions of myself. They watched silently, their faces empty.

“What have you become?” I didn’t look back at her, my focus entirely on the fight. “This is who I am,” I growled, my voice carrying a resonant, primal tone that echoed across the battlefield. “This is what happens when you push me to the edge. When you make me fight for what’s mine.”

I place my hands on the ledge as I stare out at the night sky. For the first time in months, I truly feel strong. I have a goal in mind, a destination to reach, a truth to reveal, and above all, a victory to achieve. It’s time they all remember who I truly am. It’s time that Zaia Toussaint steps back onto the battlefield. “I’m coming for you, Annalise… I hope you’re ready.”

"Don’t rush yourself to feel everything." I shook my head, my grip on myself tightening. “You don’t get it. I can't—” My voice cracked, and I sucked in a sharp breath, trying to swallow down whatever it was. "I don’t know what part of me is really mine. I don't know what was real and what was just borrowed time."

I look at her trying to figure out just from her expression what she thinks of me. -What do you remember last? -I wanted to leave work, and then someone put something on my mouth, she says, remembering what happened to her. Now my question. Who are you? -I am Damon Black. Hearing my name, her face tightens. She looks panicked around the room as if she wanted to hide somewhere. -You're a criminal. I know you, I've heard about you. -What have you heard about me, I ask, getting closer to her lips to look her better in the eyes.

I took another deep breath, trying to ignore her insults to the best of my ability. "Mrs. Walker, I' not Sally and I'll never be. My father would never be like Sally's, or at least a little better. I'm so sorry that I'm not the ideal mate for your son, but it happened. I... like him. I can't change that" I kept my voice calm and collected.
