Novel & Cerita The Abyss Novel

“Wait until we are back in the South. I hate the heat down there. It makes my fur itch.” As I walked out to the docks to join Cassian on the deck of the newly christened North Star, I felt the first true tremors of the coming battle. The sea was no longer just rising; it was screaming. The purple snow was falling faster now, covering the mountain in a shroud of silent, hungry light. We were leaving our home to save it. We were heading into the heart of the waste to find the fire that could balance the dark. And as the ship’s engines began to hum with the combined power of three nations, I felt the Abyssal King’s laughter vibrating in my palm.

The carcass of the Abyssal Leviathan disappeared into the pitch-black freezing waters above, taking the madness of the trench with it. At the bottom of the world, bathed in the soft, ancient luminescence of the flawless white jade gates, Caleb Blackwood stood motionless. The timer in his HUD was a relentless executioner: 69:40:12.

The darkness covering the sky cracked from one horizon to the other. For the first time since the battle had begun... The Abyss took a step backward. A single crimson wound appeared across its chest. Black blood dripped onto the battlefield. The impossible had happened. Darkness... Had learned to bleed. The Abyss lowered one trembling hand to the wound. It stared at the blood in disbelief. Then its endless mouth slowly widened into a terrifying smile. "So..." Its voice echoed through every corner of the world. "Now I can finally become complete." The wound burst open. Instead of blood... Millions of black hands reached out from inside its body. Each one grasped toward Kael and Rhydian.

You survived, but Millie will never come back! "Is the ocean cold? Felicity, stay here forever and atone for your sins with her!" As he finished speaking, he burst into a manic laugh, chilling in the night air where only the waves crashed. And in the next moment, he pressed me down into the ocean with all his might. No matter how I thrashed, I couldn't break free. As my consciousness faded, I felt myself being thrown into the water, left to be swallowed by the waves. I began to sink, deeper and deeper.

Lila’s POV I stumbled out of the cab and the cold air hit my face hard enough to make the world tilt. My phone kept buzzing in my bag but I ignored it and leaned against a brick wall to catch my breath. Snow fell soft and quiet around me and the streetlights blurred into halos. I knew what waited if I looked online. My name was everywhere. My face next to Zane’s with headlines screaming mistress and homewrecker and gold-digger. Tomorrow would be hell but tonight I just needed to forget.

With a final, mocking smile, he turned and leaped over the rail, disappearing into the dark waves just as the ship began to tilt sharply downward. Theron rushed down the stairs, breaking open the door to the hold. In seconds, he was at my side, tearing away the restraints and pulling me into his arms. The moment we touched, the energy surged back into perfect balance, warm and whole again. “Are you hurt?” he asked, his voice shaking with relief. “I am now,” I whispered, holding him tight. “But we are not out of danger yet. He said the Abyss is awake.” As if on cue, the entire sea began to roar. The water around us started to swirl, pulling the ship into a massive, spinning current that led s

The moment her skin touched it— The world fractured. She was no longer in the chamber. She was underwater. Not drowning. Not sinking. Simply there. Above her, faint sunlight shimmered far beyond reach. Below her, an endless abyss. And in that abyss— Movement. The Drowned One coiled in the dark, vast beyond measure, its body disappearing into trenches deeper than mountains are tall. Its eye opened, locking onto her with ancient recognition. But it was not alone. Beneath even it— Something else.

I lower my eyes, looking at the murky water surrounding me, then I raise my gaze to his. — It's an abyss. My voice is hoarse, worn. — An abyss where I fall endlessly. For a moment, I drown in shame, in terror. I hate myself. I hate you. I pause, searching for my words deep within myself. — And the next moment… the next moment, it’s as if all the noise of the world stops. As if I am nothing but a sensation. A pulse. Pain, pleasure, fear… all blend and become… pure. I no longer think. I no longer have to decide. I am nothing but a body that feels. And in this abyss… there is a form of peace. A horrible and magnificent peace.

Her voice cut off with a gurgle as the doors slammed shut, sealed over with a crust of living black ice. The room turned freezing in a breath. The fire did not go out — its flames withered, shifting from gold to a dying, bruised violet, frozen in place and giving off no heat at all. From the drains, the cracks between the stones, the grout of the walls — the Abyss began to pour. Six shadow‑things rose from the spreading mire: faceless, hunched shapes draped in rotting kelp, claws of sharpened coral glinting like butcher’s knives.

What Abyss? This was the first time she had heard of these things. She looked at the three men before her, finding them all very mysterious. "I'll explain," said Arthur, pulling a small piece of tattered cloth from his inner pocket and placing it on the desk. It had some markings on it. "The Abyss is the name of a demonic sea region. We know of its existence, but it's too dangerous. No one from recent generations has ventured there. This scrap of cloth is part of a complete sea map."
