The Alpha Chose Me 소설 & 이야기

he commanded, his voice low and final. My eyes obeyed before I could think. I looked up…. Meeting the gaze of Alpha Rael. Everything else melted away. The hall. The whispers. The fear that had overtaken me. “You,” he said. And that was all it took for him to make a choice. In front of the entire pack, Alpha Rael reached for me, gripping my arm like I already belonged to him. Gasps echoed across the hall, but he didn’t care.

However, if one Alpha decided someone else to fight in his stead, it was expected for the other one to do the same. If Caden were here, he would be a good candidate to fight as Drake's representative. With the rule of no advantageous weapons used, if one of the opponents was not an Alpha, using the Alpha aura was not allowed. But Caden was not present, and the only warrior whose abilities Drake knew was Keith. Drake decided to ask first, "How about you?" "I choose as my Champion…" Alpha Edward made a dramatic pause. "Commander George." Drake needed a moment to process this. What the hell?

“I didn’t realize something was wrong until I came here.” My shoulders lift slightly. “My parents live like humans. That’s the life they chose.” “They were never interested in pack life.” A slow breath leaves my chest. “If they didn’t think something was wrong with me, why would I question it?” Zara hums thoughtfully beside me. “Still a little unusual,” she murmurs. “An Alpha choosing to live outside a pack.” I stop walking. “An Alpha?” The confusion in my voice comes out immediately. Her expression shifts as soon as she hears me.

“We don’t have a choice.” “There’s always a choice.” “Not one that keeps our people alive.” She pulled free and picked up the vial. “I’m Alpha. I choose to protect my pack. Even if it costs me everything.” She drank. The liquid burned going down. Like swallowing fire. She gasped, fell to her knees, felt Kaden catch her. Through the bond, she felt him panicking. Felt him trying to push strength into her. But the potion was spreading through her veins like ice.

I dug my nails into my palms and said nothing. "A human doctor," she laughed. "In this Pack, you're lower than an Omega. Do you know what they call you behind your back? The Alpha's pet. A dog he can call whenever he wants." "Are you done?" My voice was flat. "Give me back the pendant." Victoria smiled and opened her fingers. The pendant fell to the floor and shattered. "Oops. My hand slipped." I knelt down to pick up the pieces. The edges cut my fingers. Blood dripped onto the floor.

Yep, that would be a mood killer…if the Alpha had ever been in the mood. “Looks like I’ve landed myself in the House of Horrors,” the Alpha muttered. “The House of Heights, actually.” I perched on the bed next to him, leaving enough distance between our thighs that he didn’t think I’d suddenly make a dive for his penis. “And I may not be some kind of pastor’s daughter, but I chose you because…” Why had I chosen him? “…I’m a rebel too.” He tilted his head. “There’s more to being a rebel than just saying it.” “Maybe we’ll find that out together?” When he studied me warily, I sighed.

I smiled. "What if I did?" He said, trying to be bold. "Even if you did... it would never work out." I blurted. He flinched at what I said and didn't talk anymore. I waited and waited but he didn't say a thing, even his friends didn't utter a word. "She's right, you know?" Misa unexpectedly said, making me look at her. "I'm sure you heard me say it before, you know... when you were eavesdropping. He's an alpha and not just any alpha, he's an elite among elite."

Her fingers glided over his rough palms and drew circles of sparks. The Alpha looked up at her, the blue of his eyes swirling with storm clouds. He pursed his full lips before exhaling, saying, "They think I did it. They have such little faith in me, they think I killed one of my own." His voice was quiet, full of defeat and failure. Ariella squeezed his hand and continued rubbing circles on his knuckles. "How do I stand against that? How do I gain their respect and allegiance when I am such a cruel monster in their eyes?"

I was afraid of what came after. I knocked. "Come in." I opened the door. Alexander was standing beside his desk, reading through several old documents. He looked up when he saw me. For a moment, neither of us spoke. Then his eyes narrowed slightly. "You've decided." It wasn't a question. I nodded. "I have." He studied my face. "And?" I took a deep breath. "I choose the Alpha position." The room became completely silent. My father slowly put the papers down. "Are you certain?" No. I wasn't. But I couldn't say that. "Yes."

The man leaning casually against the doorframe was tall, broad-shouldered, with sun-roughened skin and a scar slashing through one thick eyebrow. He wore a simple white tunic and brown trousers, but he had the unmistakable bearing of someone who didn’t just walk into rooms. He owned them. Alpha. Her stomach dropped instinctively. Another bloody Alpha. But when he smiled, a lazy, almost boyish tilt of his mouth, Jo felt the tightness in her chest ease a little. "I’m Don," he said easily. "Alpha of the Wind Warrior Pack." Jo blinked. Wind Warrior Pack? She vaguely remembered something from the book.
