Three wolves in dark clothing had burst through the windows, and they were heading straight for the stairs where Rhyker's delegation was housed. "Assassins!" someone shouted. Kael shifted mid-stride, his wolf form massive and lethal. He caught the first attacker by the throat, slamming him into the wall hard enough to crack the wood. Rhyker appeared on the stairs, already shifted, his alpha power rolling through the space like thunder. The second attacker went for him, but the older wolf was faster, catching the assassin's arm and twisting until the bone snapped. The third assassin, however, had bypassed both alphas.
