The Bee Sting Book Review Novels & Stories

The girl put her skirt from the ground and left Celestine alone. Celestine collected some dried leaves and twigs. She was going to make a fire from that pile. Its fogging would expel the bees from their nest. “I am sorry bees. You can come back to your nest then, I just take some of your honey…” Celestine murmured, waiting not to far away to see the fire getting bigger. As she predicted, the bigger fire the more fogs it produced and it made the bees inside the nest begin to be annoyed.

To my amazement, the stain began to fade away, leaving no trace behind. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. It was as if the bee had some sort of magical power, capable of removing stains with just a gesture. As I finished cleaning my dress and turned off the tap, the bee landed back on my cheek, a contented hum emanating from its small body. I couldn't help but smile at the little creature, grateful for its unexpected assistance in my moment of need.

My skin must have burned away, leaving the muscle open because every breeze felt like knives. The hive was swarming around me, pulling in tighter and tighter, trying to kill me. But they underestimated how much power I can take in. I screamed again as a bee stung me in the eye. I had thought I knew pain, but that one made my brain shut down for a minute. The fire under m, y skin was building, and I didn’t know how I was going to release it.

They sting, and even when they’re relatively calm, they buzz around you, skulking at the verge of your peripheral vision, and honestly, I don’t know which is worse—a sting hurts, but it feels better once you slap some mud on it. The skulking gives me headaches and drives my wolf nuts.

She squinted into the sunlight, waving a hand about her scrunched-up face. The first sting took her by surprise, for she’d never been stung before, not by any of them, in all these years. Cassie felt it on her upper lip, felt the burning sensation as it immediately began to redden and swell. Then another, a sharp pain in her forehead just above the eyebrow. She yelped and bent over, facing the ground, swatting at her head. “Cotton-pickin’ chicken pluckers,” she grumbled, not wanting to swear or be unladylike. Not yet. Even though it burned, was starting to itch. “Shoot, guys!” The buzz among the locusts’ yellow-gold leaflets droned and grew higher. She could hear it hovering above her, the n

He asked, "Is something wrong?" Bee didn't bother to look up at him, she was feeling empty and wanted to send somewhere empty. She still needed time to repair herself and was not at all willing to have any kind of interaction with him in the meanwhile. She kept the book aside and fell back on bed, pulling the blanket to her head she said, "I am sleepy. You should leave."

She then used her silver tongs to place a portion of roasted beast-meat onto my tray, adding, "Since your unit executed the contract and moved out of our ancestral den, I have realized my command needs to project more kindness toward your path." I offered a polite, controlled smile at the ration on my tray, choosing to consume the meat in absolute silence. As the proteins cleared my throat, a numbing, intensely spicy chemical sensation completely overwhelmed my sensory nodes. The extreme heat scorched my system instantly. I quickly grabbed the ice-water container positioned in front of my gauntlet and downed the entire contents in one massive gulp to neutralize the irritation. "Does your wol
