He Slept With My Sister, When I Was Giving Birth

He Slept With My Sister, When I Was Giving Birth

Ava The tears didn’t stop after the first one. Or the second. They just kept coming, running hot down my cheeks, and every time I thought I could swallow it, more would show up, like my body had been storing them for years and now the damn burst. Falco didn’t say a word. He didn’t shift or lean away, didn’t even look especially uncomfortable about the fact that I was sobbing in front of him like an abandoned toddler at the zoo. He just sat there, elbows on knees, glancing every so often at my face and then politely back at the garden, like he’d seen this movie a thousand times and didn’t need to comment on the acting.

Finally.. We had reached end of the story. I must say it had been an emotional roller coaster for me with the characters in the story, esp with Ava who had made me teared up multiple times with her innocence, resilience and bravery for her age. One of the best books I had read.. Great job Jenne!

Tears at Midnight

Tears at Midnight

The thin sheet of paper trembled in the silence for a long time, like the final echo of a departing voice. Tears finally broke free from Marcel's lashes and splashed onto the letter, landing atop tear stains that had already dried there. "Cedric..." Marcel's fingers tightened around the page until his knuckles turned white. Delilah stared at the neat handwriting covering the letter, her chest filling with an indescribable ache. The man who had always listened to them, who had grinned foolishly and declared himself the happiest person in the world, had been forced by their betrayal to grow wings.

The Forgotten God

The Forgotten God

The floors absorbed the crimson, dripping viscous droplets to the level below and accentuating the horror if the tenant was still alive. The largest of the birds flew down, blood spiralling behind it as it shed the excess from its claws, before swooping with grand grace to land on his shoulder. Am Heh nonchalantly stroked the coarse feathers of the pronounced head, tracing about the black orb with his finger. "You shall be my eyes." If he felt the cold pain as he turned his claw to pierce the base of his own eye, he made no sign of it. He had always made a point of giving no one the satisfaction of seeing him flinch, even when he stood alone.

THE ALPHA'S ADDICTION

THE ALPHA'S ADDICTION

It slipped off the shelf into her waiting hand, the pages already turning to the very entry her mind was seeking. Strangely, the bird was observing her just as intently, an intelligence in its gaze as it watched the pages of the book open without her hand. She brought the book in front of her and glanced down to look at the photograph of the harpy eagle. The eyes were round and shining with intelligence, but they were not black. The eyes in the picture were a bright amber with a black pupil. She let out her breath slowly. Something was wrong with her bird.

Song of the Winter Solstice

Song of the Winter Solstice

Agony tore through me like a blade, each word a searing wound that cut into my heart. "He's hurt!" The words echoed like a scream inside my skull, a relentless reminder of the pain that was unfolding before me. "B—Bonbon!" My cry was a raw, guttural sound, ripped from the depths of my soul as I witnessed my small friend's suffering. "Id—Idrish strong. Id—Idrish f—f—fight!" A single tear welled up in Bonbon's eye, a shimmering testament to his anguish. Pranaiahn tears were a rarity, carrying the weight of profound longing and sorrow. Their single eyes rarely shed tears, but when they did, those tears held emotions that were both beautiful and devastating.

Tears Of A Vampire

Tears Of A Vampire

Worse, the pain that we mutually feel causes my closed eyes to tear, and before I can stop it, numerous pearls of tears stream down my cheeks. Out of reflex, I raise my hand, intending to wipe my tears. It is then I discover that I can now move my hand. Not only can I move my hand, I unintentionally get my eyes open as soon as my fingers make contact with my tears, awaken by it, and am greeted by a realization that everything I feel earlier just belongs to a mere dream as I still find myself sitting on the same spot I occupy. I made a quick check on my surroundings and then move my baffled look to the wet tips of my finger, staring at them blankly.

Chapter One starts with one giant, somewhat incoherent, run-on sentence. That tells you everything you need to know about the rest of the book. Maybe I'll come back and try to read it again if it gets some series editing, but it would be crazy to pay money for this.

I read this book before, or at least most of it. I know I read it before probably a year ago. but I was not able to complete it then, so now I'm finally getting to finish it! this book has quite a few different scenarios that happen to them. A lot of off the wall crazy stuff!

Fun of a Lifetime

Fun of a Lifetime

But she’d blown it. A tear fell onto one of her scales, amethyst shim-mering through the perfect, round drop until another splashed it away. Then another. Tears. She was shedding tears for a Human. She brushed them away. She was not going to cry over him. But the tears didn’t stop. Silent, heartbreakingly si-lent, they fell onto her tail, mingling with the saltwater, back into their element. As she was. Gods. He’d been so disappointed. So… angry.
