Nothing did. --- By the time he skidded to a stop outside the bar, his lungs burned, his veins screamed for something stronger than adrenaline. The place was dim, packed with strangers who smelled like liquor and rain. Blue pushed through the crowd, every step heavy with exhaustion, until he reached the counter. “Whiskey,” he said, voice flat. “Double.” The bartender didn’t ask questions. Nobody ever did. Blue downed the first glass in one swallow. Then another. And another. Until the burn in his throat was sharp enough to numb the edge of his thoughts.

Walking into Swig and Swine Barbecue I can tell that I will not be walking out of there anytime soon. The vibe is all there, and everyone is friendly. One glass of Cosmopolitan and cocktail coming right up." Blue said, excitedly. As she prepared the drinks, the door opened and a lady walked in. Blue and I glanced at her. She was a supernatural, but I couldn't tell what she was.

She said as I made an 'oh' expression finally remembering about her. "So,if I may ask is there something wrong with your career that you're drinking this time of night? It's already 8:30 in night."She said as she then handed me a single bar. "What's that for?"I asked as she shove it to me nicely. "It's energy bar blueberry flavor,it's lucky that I have it tonight since I also read from the get-to-know news that you like blueberry flavors."She said as I thanked her and started to eat up the bar.
