As I stepped out of the elevator, my mood was great, and the stress from the earlier meeting somehow disappeared. My secretary greeted me, “Sir, someone sent you a gift. I placed it inside.” A gift? I wonder who it's from. I nodded and went straight to my office. Upon entering, I immediately saw the gift my secretary mentioned – a black box with a red ribbon on top. I furrowed my brows, wondering who could have sent it. I approached my desk and took the box. There was no indication of the sender. I examined it closely before opening. “Sh*t!” I dropped the box and took a step back as soon as I saw its what inside.

It was one of the oldest houses in the pack. Our pack was also one of the oldest ones in the United States, we were in the great state of Alabama. Rolling hills of green trees and mostly poverty. We were hidden away deep in the forests that hid us from the world outside. We liked it like that. College for us was in Tennessee. Right outside of Chattanooga. I could not wait to go. I went inside and threw my backpack down and took off my shoes. My parents wouldn't be home till late and I needed to study. Which of course didn't happen. As soon as I showered and sat on my bed I passed out face first into my Calculus book.

Christina gave her a look that said she was either testing her or trying to decide how much to say. “This,” she said at last, “is why you’ve been dodging mustard jackets and cleaning up after dead archaeologists.” Leila’s heart skipped a beat. She sat down, sliding the book toward her. It was heavier than it looked, its weight a promise of bad news. “Oh my! Explain,” she said, flipping it open.

She picked up her scarf and walked out of the house. She decided she would just hide in the car and scare him. It will be fun... With that intention, she walked to the elevator, knowing it would take a few minutes for him to reach downstairs to the parking lot. Aarvi opened his car with the help of an extra key and hid in the back seat. Soon Anshuman reached his car and opened the door of it. He did not notice Aarvi’s presence there. Aarvi was about to scare him when his phone went off as he picked up the call.

"You've got no right to talk about love. A hidden girlfriend? Nah, just my replacement." Anger surged within me. Before I could shoot back, her smile turned cruel. She shoved past me, knocking my shoulder hard. "Know your place." Her footsteps faded, leaving me clutching my chest. The pain was unbearable. Luke failed me, but Karma always came back around. Once I calmed down, I went home. Mike called. "Your fiancé got you an animal biology book with real specimens inside. Pretty cool, right? How are you going to thank me?"

But still I couldn't shake the possibility that maybe Camille had something to do with this. I whispered, "I have something to show you." His eyes were tired yet seeking as he gazed at me. Reaching behind the line of hardcovers until my fingers found the latch, I got up and moved over to the bookcase. A tiny compartment opened with a click. When I returned to him, I placed it in his lap. He looked at it. "What is this?" I whispered, "The authentic documents the one Camille has been hiding from you” He gasped in shock springing up…..
