Then it hit me too. Does comparing feel similar to questioning worth? The book said the right people show up. The right people care—not only when life is convenient, but when it’s difficult, messy, and aching all over. The right people take chances. They choose you as confidently as you choose them.

Not unworthy, but precious beyond measure. And that was worth fighting for.

His thumb lingered at my cheek. "You asked me earlier whether it was worth it. You asked me once before if I regretted saving you. Here is my answer. You're worth it. I've never once regretted it.
