The Books I Read Novels & Stories

Books about herbs, waters, potions, magic and all sorts of healing techniques, along with history books were my favorite reads and luckily for me this dusty, abandoned library was chock full of em. I slide a finger over the spine of the book I was reading currently, suddenly an image of Zander sliding his finger up and down my spine yesterday night suddenly invaded my mind. I groan and drag the book out it's position on the shelf and walk over to the small chair and desk set up by the window to read. And yet even as I attempt to absorb the meaningful words of information my mind is invaded once again by a certain green eyed Prince.

Feeling at a loss as to what to do with myself, I decided to explore the library. Wandering through the currently empty house on my way to the library, I begin to find myself feeling rather lonely. Flicking Kenzie a quick text to see what she is up to, I walk through the door and into the library. Perusing the shelves I see that the majority are classics such as Charles Dickens and Jane Austin. But tucked away in the corner I spy one of my favourite fantasy series. A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin. Curling up in the lone red leather chair I open the first book and begin to read.

I breathed deeply, feeling a sense of calm wash over me. I scanned the shelves, my eyes running over the countless books that seemed to stretch up to the ceiling. I knew I'd spend hours in here, getting lost in the stories and adventures that lay within the pages. I finally picked a book, my fingers trailing over the cover as I read the title.

Nothing beat that feeling of reading a French book. I wasn’t much of a reader. I got bored easily. But if I had to choose between books and movies, I would pick books. At least books let me imagine things my own way. I walked into a small bookstore near the hotel. The bell above the door rang softly. “Bonjour,” the woman behind the counter smiled. “Hi,” I smiled back awkwardly. I walked around slowly, running my fingers over the spines of the books. Romance. Crime. Fantasy. Self-help. I picked up three random ones. All about love.

A Dream House (Continuation) I sat on the beige colored tiled floor of the living room. And I looked around me, the ceilings are neatly painted white, while the walls are covered with medium toned brown wallpapers. I opened another box. From the box I pulled out lots of books, maybe fifty to seventy of them. The books come in different forms, big and small, thin and thick. I need great sets of eyes to evaluate it" "I'm sure we will have enough time to" i replied, denying his offer. I so much wanted to see it now, but i don't trust both of us alone in his mansion. If he wasn't dissapointed, he didn't let it show. "What sort of books do you read" He inquired I smiled sheepishly. “I like women’s fiction and books about gardening and gourmet cooking.” It's been so long i did, i haven't found the time. I hope i find the time to do so again.

Sprinted to the door, I pulled it open, not expecting it to open, but it did, causing my heart to swell in joy. Ambling to the shelf, my eyes darted round the various book covers. Fiction was my favorite book to read because the best thing about reading was to be able to escape from your life, to be able to read hundreds or even thousands of other lives. Non-fiction does not have that power, it does not change you the way fiction does. To me, if you are not affected somehow, even if it is the slightest change, you are not reading the right book. I would love to think that every novel I have read has become a part of me and created who I am in a sense.

Jane Austen, the Bronte sisters, George Elliot (who was a woman, by the way). I also like the Russians, like Tolstoy and Dostoevsky. 'War and Peace' is amazing." "You've read 'War and Peace'?" "Yeah, twice. It's excellent." I cocked my head. "How about you, what do you like to read?"

What's wrong with her? And there are lots of child books in there too. I pick out the one. My mom read some of these to me when I was a child too. I'm not fond of reading books. I always hated reading books. I thought they were nothing but just collections of words which have been passed and rotted from generation to generation. But I want to take these books out, these kids' books and read them. I take the one, 'Alice in wonderland.' I turn the pages gently. The illustrated beautiful picture drags my attention to the sentence my mom said to me.
