Novelas y relatos de The Brides

Fedora had never envisioned herself in the wedding business, but Bridal Fix was not a typical wedding company. There were no flower arrangements, no giddy brides dreaming of their big day, no childhood fairytales being fulfilled. Instead, Bridal Fix operated in a world of necessity, where marriage was a tool, a strategy, an answer to problems that money alone could not solve.

I challenged confidently. "I can tell that you are very razz and you can do anything for money, so let's do this. I don't have a bride for my wedding day, so how about I pay you to be my substitute Bride for a period of one year. It's going to be a win win situation, you get the money you are desperately looking for and I get married on the 28th as planned, what do you say?

Then, thinking her mom was calling, she headed downstairs. Her feet barely touched the ground floor when the TV screen flickered to life, blaring the 10am news in urgent, pulsing tones. "Tragedy has struck the fashion world. Christian Bridges, renowned model, heir to the Bridges fashion empire, and Vesper magazine's coveted cover star, has been involved in a horrific accident. Reports indicate that the accident was severe, and Christian is currently being treated in the ICU unit..."

As I stepped into the bridal suite, the air was thick with excitement and the sweet scent of anticipation. The room itself seemed to come alive with the vibrant energy of my bridesmaids – Aria, Scarlett, and Penny – who were already there, bustling about. Aria was busy organizing the array of makeup and hair products scattered across the vanity. Scarlett, ever the perfectionist, was meticulously arranging my bouquets of flowers, insuring that every petal was fresh. And Penny, with her infectious laughter, was struggling to zip up her dress.

"Always the bridesmaid, never the bride. Story of my life." The Anderson ladies exchanged amused glances. As the door creaked open, Lauren took a step forward. With a commanding presence, she addressed the assembly, "Ladies and gentlemen, the time has come. Please welcome the bride, Mellisa, as she graces us with her presence." Mellisa, guided by Oceane, began her walk down the aisle, the hem of her gown trailing behind her. The room held its collective breath, the soft rustle of fabric the only sound accompanying her journey.

The church organ reverberated through the air, announcing the arrival of the bridal party. As the organ's melody reached its crescendo, the heavy wooden doors swung open, revealing the radiant bride, Sanya. She stepped forward, her white gown billowing gracefully around her, as she beamed with happiness. Her long veil trailed behind her, delicately held in place by a crown of tiny, sparkling crystals.

Yeah, maybe I should do that to save my ass. The next day, I woke up feeling like I didn't want to get up and leave the house but I couldn't because Javier and I were getting married today. This is crazy! The make-up artist that Javier hired for me and the bridesmaids fixed us up early. All of our bridesmaids are friends and cousins are acquaintances of his.

The whole church quieted down, anticipating the moment when the bride would step in. Brielle, Cora and the other bridesmaids walked down the aisle before it was finally Brae's turn. She was holding onto William's arm in a solid grasp who looked down at her with a kind smile. As she started walking all eyes were on her. Brae was the one who had chosen 'A Thousand Years' by Christina Perri to be played at her wedding . A faint smile graced Brae's lips on thinking how the song was appropriate to express her feelings.

The flowers were perfect. That was the only thing going right. I had been awake since four in the morning making sure that the roses with just enough blush to look romantic without being loud, greenery that didn't overpower, ribbon tied the way Vivienne had shown me three times on a YouTube video she'd sent at midnight. Everything was perfect. The bride just wasn't here. Her text came at 6:47 a.m. "I'm sorry, Aria. I can't do it. Don't hate me. Please don't hate me."

Absolute love-struck war goddess. My heart jolted violently. Haylee Kenton? The legendary head of that mysterious business empire... she secretly loved me? And even came here to act as my fake bride? I took a slow breath and raised a hand, interrupting the officiant. "One moment." The entire venue instantly fell silent. The woman standing before me flickered with panic. The tips of her ears turned red, and even her breathing became uneven. Curling my lips into a faint smile, I asked gently, "Christine, you don't look well. Were you so busy preparing for the wedding that you forgot to take your medicine?"
