Yes, I was able to manipulate and create shadows and illusions–Krys even says if I get better at it I would be able to teleport through the shadows. I place my focus on the figure I created out of pure shadow. I was trying to make it bigger than it was but it was so hard, I felt my energy draining away from me. Shadow manipulation was much harder during the day time, but it was suggested by Krys that we train when the sun was up so I get stronger at it. “Come on shadow, work with me!” I proclaimed loudly, as I channeled all my energy into making my shadow figure grow bigger.

This time, I manage to get my fingers on the cheap plastic switch before I get hit again. I’m ready for it though. I throw up an arm, batting the thing away from me before it can fully slam into me. It’s a shadow—a fourth shadow—and it skitters across the bed then disappears on the other side of the mattress. I take advantage of its distraction and slam the light on with a little more force than necessary. The lamp illuminates the room, such as it is, casting dull amber light into all the corners. It’s the first time I’ve seen the shadows in the light, and the effect is even more eerie because my brain knows they should vanish—but they don’t.

But, her expectation soon shattered into pieces. Suddenly, a bright blue-ish light steadily spread across the night, Shadow's eyes seek refuge under her elbow to screen out the excessive light. "Ugh, what the hell? What's going on? Why is this happening to me?" The light slowly spread and engulfed her surroundings. The light ran rampage and blindly attacked the surrounding and loitered around but Shadow had a feeling the sudden appearance of the light had a purpose. "What the..." The light brightened up, making it impossible for her to peek at the surroundings, thus leaving her no choice but to focus on her senses.

It was only natural for the host to receive the guest. Angela handed the items to Donald. Donald and Angela walked side by side toward the second floor. He noticed their shadows stretched long under the lights, close at hand, yet always separated by a band of light, never able to overlap. Donald looked at the slanted shadows and stepped closer to Angela. As his shadow stretched forward, about to merge with Angela’s, a light source suddenly went out. The slanted shadows vanished, leaving only the shadows straight ahead, each going its own way.

I guess it was fluke. "Figures." Sebastian sighed. "Increase the speed of your shadow further. It has to be really fast to slice. Also when you increase the strength don't think of it as bulky. Strength is not how thick the shadow is, but how well it holds together. You're essentially turning a gas into a solid."

Under the illumination of the Heaven Fire, although the surroundings were still very dark, one could faintly see that the darkness illuminated by the light was somewhat different from the darkness outside. "How could this be?" Yvonne was a little surprised. They were all flames. Why was her flame getting darker and darker, while Samuel’s was completely different? "Let me tell you something which you don't know Birdman, light and darkness do have something in common which most people fail to understand. There is no light without darkness and same as reverse. Light is one side of the coin, and Darkness is the other." Tharollin added.

Every day he learned something new about my kind, things no outsider knew, "which season would shadows be connected to? I'm guessing all, right?" I drew my lips into a thin line as I contemplated how to answer the question. Technically, shadows didn't belong to a specific court but—if it did—it was more likely to come from either summer or spring. Shadows needed light to be formed after all. However, darkness thickened shadows which led to me leaning toward either winter or autumn.

I asked. “You’ve got it,” she said, and she seemed to manage to stop gloating for just a moment. “Well,” I said, frowning down at the clue again. “If the thing you’re looking at is ahead, it’s likely that the shadow will be to its side. Not necessarily, but the rest of it fits, I think. One colour, yeah – shadows are all dark. And the sun is yellow, orange, and red, and darkness is the opposite to the light of the sun. Any size and shape, yeah, that fits too. You can’t escape it…” I mumbled to myself.

"I didn't say I wouldn't tell you. I said, don't treat me like I'm stupid" A small smile crosses my lips. I was hoping that because she is more rational, she would get why I am asking. "Essentially, wolves become a black hole. All light disappears, and they absorb light. This makes them easier to find and hunt, even in the dark, any light points right to them". I think for a while about my next question. How can I use this to get the answer I need? Willow rolls her eyes. "You might as well talk out loud so I know what you are looking for".
