Michaela stared at the flames and it lengthened, almost reaching the ceilings. “You're going to burn down this house.” Sabrina said when her gaze caught the flames that were about to spread through the basement. She snapped her fingers but Michaela's gaze was still fixed on the candles and the flames didn't turn off.

“So we hide? We sit in this safe house forever, while he chips away at us with lawyers? No. We fight fire with fire. We burn his house down. And we walk away from the ashes.” We burn his house down. The words echoed in the quiet room. The book on the coffee table seemed to pulse. A circuit of power. “Is that what this is?” I asked, stepping closer, forcing him to look at me. “A fight?
