The tide crept close, gentle and cold at our feet, but she stayed wrapped around me, hands tangled in my hair, my mouth brushing kisses along her shoulder and the hollow of her throat.
"You make love to me like the perfect fiancé," she spoke, breaking the silence, smiling against my lips.
"Good," I said into her skin, still catching my breath. "Because next time... It's going to be as your husband."
She pulled her face back from mine, eyes dancing.
"You mean... on the altar?" She teased, giggling while her lips found mine again.
