I had just finished journal 3 when I stopped. “What am I doing?” I whispered and dropped the journal, “No, no, no. Please no. Stop.” I dropped to my knees and started to collect all the pages. In a frantic hurry, I picked up each page as if they were about to fade away. Pages had landed everywhere. On the bed, behind the cupboard, under the tables, even in the bathroom. I picked up 575 pages. Each journal was a book of 192 pages… which meant one page was missing.

There are a lot of words and a couple of doodles. " This is 20 pages long." I whined. " Kaen did some little drawing here and there to remind him which page is about what without having to read through it again. " Terry gets more comfortable on his chair as he sips his tea. I scan through the first page and I couldn't understand a single word of it. " That's just great...." I bang my head onto his desk hoping the information would magically jump from the pages into my mind and makes sense.

The book is massive, easily over two thousand pages, the weight of it pulling at my arms. Of course it’s this complicated. I bite back my frustration, reminding myself that this might be the only chance I have to get answers. I carry the book to an alcove, the leather seat creaking as I lower myself into it. The book lands on the desk with a soft thud, dust rising around it in a lazy cloud. Caitlin nearly lunged across the room, grabbing the book and holding it up to the candlelight with shaking hands. Please God, let this be it, she thought. She pulled back the cover and nervously flipped to the title page: De Fascino Libri Tres. Her heart flooded with relief. She could hardly believe it. She had actually found it. Caitlin quickly thumbed through the pages, going as fast as she could to the missing page. Please, please be there. Please be the matching page. She started to worry about what she would do if the matching page weren’t there. Or if this was all a hoax. She was shaking with anticipation as she got closer. 530, 532….

In addition, she had filled the basket with plenty of tasty drinks that tasted like fruit juice. All I hoped for was that it wouldn’t be too dry to read.

The words are readable even though the author has written this in a hurry. What does he mean? I flipped the next page and read the last line, "The girl will die if she gives birth to his child. And if she dies he will hunt the whole city." Who is the girl and who is he. It's CONFUSING!! I wanted to throw the book in the dustbin but something inside me pushed to read further. I relaxed in my seat and flipped the first page. But it seems not only the first page is missing, but there are also up to 30 pages are missing. The book totally has 60 pages, each has 12 to 15 lines.
