Hacked Hearts

Hacked Hearts

I waited for him to sit first so that I could pick a place farthest from him. Unfortunately he knew exactly my thoughts so he widened his smirk, the mirth so evident on his face. "You sit first." I threw a stink eye in his direction, making my irritation clear. "Whatever." I sat on the chair away from the couch. A single chair that could fit only one person. He winked at me, expecting my move. He came closer and before I could comprehend what he was doing, he had picked up the whole chair. I squeaked out in terror, shocked at his actions. "What the fuck are you doing?" I gripped on the chair arms, afraid I would fall and break my leg. Didn't really care about his leg.

Accidental Surrogate for Alpha

Accidental Surrogate for Alpha

“Seriously!” she picks up. “If I were bad at this, could I do this?” She spins her chair then in a quick circle that lifts one of the chair’s wheels off the ground. My stomach drops as I lurch forward, desperate to keep her from tipping over, but she just laughs at me as the chair rights itself, zooming out of my reach. “Don’t do that!” I gasp, glaring at her. “What!” she counters. “I’m fine – this chair can’t tip over, it’s built into the design –“

I love this book! I hate that chapters are barely two pages and at this rate I’m probably not going to see the end. For the cost at this rate I could have bought quite a number in physical form. As I have so far spent just under of $100 this is most likely my last Good Novel purchase.

Alpha Dalton

What was that? And then, I saw what happened. It was Tyler who had moved that fast. He had Lucas tied up to a chair which wasn’t the same as mine. “Do you know what this chair is for? I don’t know if you noticed it but this chair isn’t like a normal one. It’s a machine which slowly electrocutes you until you die and trust me; it’s a complete torture to die this way.” Tyler enlightened us about the efficacy of this chair… or machine.

The Huntress - Luna Eileen

The Huntress - Luna Eileen

“Your turn.” Kiara looked up at the frame, worry etched on her face. “I don’t think I can reach. You are taller than me!” I pulled the desk chair over and glared playfully at her. “No excused.” Her mouth hung open but when I didn’t budge she stepped up onto the chair and gripped the frame. When she had her weight on the wood, I pulled the chair away. “Now pull up.” Kiara dangled there, feet several centimeters from the floor, arms fully extended, “I can’t!” she struggled a few seconds more before her fingers gave out and she crashed to the floor in a heap. “How did you manage so many?”

This take on the werewolf genre is great! The setting does wonders for the story and werewolves in general, and the author's writing style is easy to read without being boring. Definitely an interesting book.

The Little Canary of the Alpha

The Little Canary of the Alpha

"Let's see how tough you are against this!" He swung the chair, aiming for my head. I sidestepped, the chair whistling past my ear. With brutal efficiency, I grabbed the chair leg mid-swing. A sharp, decisive twist, and the leg snapped off. I drove the jagged end into his thigh, severing muscle and eliciting a guttural roar of pain. He dropped the chair, clutching his bleeding leg.

I Was Reborn As The Most Powerful Princess In History?!

I Was Reborn As The Most Powerful Princess In History?!

Margaret gazed around while gripping her mother's skirt, her eyes twinkling at the decorations. What drew her attention the most was a chair covered by imitation butterflies but with genuine flowers intertwined around it; the intricate pattern was so precise and beautiful that no one could dispute that such a chair took a lot of time and effort to create. It has the appearance of a throne and is placed at the far end of the table. Margaret was so fascinated to that chair that she began to go towards it as if she had been cast a spell, but she was blocked by the same maid who had led them there.

His laughter disgusts me and makes my skin crawl. He had his hands set on switches and buttons; I knew there was something strange about this chair, and it sent shivers down my spine. I felt like vomiting right on the spot. I shook my head frantically as I eyed the chair. I doubted I would survive it. I didn't know what to think as my mind was jumbled. I flinched as he gripped my hand. "I don't want to be on that chair. I don't know what I ever did wrong but forgive me."

The Blind Luna

The Blind Luna

Some parts of the room are engulfed in total darkness. In the middle of the room, there are twenty chairs arranged in two rows. The seats are divided into four parts, separating the chairs into five each and creating a four-way intersection. There is a chair right at the middle of the intersection and all the seats in the middle are taken. "Kieran, who's that at the middle?". "That's the chairperson and those are the judges". Another thing that catches Annaliese's eye is a very beautiful woman who has the lower body of a dragon and a scorpion tail with snakes around her ankles.

In the Shadow of the CEO

In the Shadow of the CEO

She slowly edged her way around it, and then dropped into the plush office chair with a sigh. So comfortable. So tempting. She almost wished she could fall asleep here. Jia let her body slump in the chair to test exactly how much she sank into the cushioning, which turned out to be to a considerable depth. Well, she thought as she fought her way back out, she was not going to do that again. The leather squeaked and whined until she struggled back onto her feet, and she turned around to look askance at the Satan Chair that threatened to suck the soul out of her. Nope, she thought. She rolled the chair back with a push and eased her way back around the desk again.

Loved this story of 2 people who showed real growth, evolving in a v. positive way bc of their emotional connection, determination to persevere under v. trying circumstanc. Yr treatment of anxiety & depression, particularly involving women was handled beautifully & with great clarity & sensitivity.

A Tale Between S and W: Not your usual giddy love story

"I want to hear the reasons, why you did not confront me about my identity. Well, I am just curious about all of your reasons. Just tell me, what is all on your minds." She made her way towards the room where the extra chairs are stored and brought five chairs from it. Lisha is such a strong woman, even having a slim build like that of Victoria's Secret model has. She separated the monobloc chairs from its stacking pile and made a circle of chairs from that pile. She sat on it and called Aaron to sit beside her.
