The apartment next door

The apartment next door

For once, neither of us rushed inside. “Goodnight, jealous neighbour,” he said. I narrowed my eyes. “Goodnight, delusional neighbour.” He smiled and disappeared into his apartment. I went into mine and shut the door. Three seconds later, there were three knocks against the wall. Knock. Knock. Knock. I stared at it. Then smiled despite myself. And knocked three times back.

The Neighbor’s Gift

The Neighbor’s Gift

His eyes looked dazed, like something had cast a spell on him. Rina smiled and linked arms with Kian. The three of them were laughing together like one happy family, making me feel like the outsider in my own home. Late that night, Kian and Rina finally went back next door. I cleaned up the mess on the table and went to the kitchen to wash the dishes. Water rushed from the faucet. I scrubbed the plates on autopilot. That kind of desire is strongest before it happens. But once it's over, you're left with regret.

Too Late to Save Your Luna

Too Late to Save Your Luna

More than ten hours later, we landed. I went home and slept like I’d been starving for it. When I woke up, I realized the young couple next door had moved out, and new neighbors had moved in. So fast. If I had to guess, the new neighbors were Victor and Julian. And I was right. After that, I ran into them constantly. One evening, I came back from a dinner gathering and saw Victor standing under a streetlight, lonely and thin in the glow. When he saw me, he straightened, forcing a smile. “Grace. You’re back.”

Taming The Psychopath Nextdoor

Taming The Psychopath Nextdoor

“Because you’re the one who put him in a coma, Hera. What happened messed up our work completely! This is what you have to do—unless you want to go to jail?” My father’s words freeze me solid. I can’t speak. The next morning, reality hits me hard: I’m now living with a psychopath next door. A comatose man whose very possibility of waking up fills every part of me with dread. Please, please don’t wake up!

The Guy Who Lives Next Door

The Guy Who Lives Next Door

At the far end of the hall, their new neighbor’s door was cracked open—just enough to spill voice, laughter, and music into the hallway like an invitation and a warning at the same time. Her mother sighed. “Oh great. Party neighbors.” Ruby wasn’t listening. Her eyes had caught something—someone. A boy stepped out onto the balcony next door, the one directly connected by only a narrow wall to the balcony of their new apartment. The dying sunlight caught him perfectly: messy black hair, silver chain glinting, a confident, careless way he leaned over the railing. He laughed at something someone said behind him, but his eyes slid up for a split second—meeting Ruby’s.

Fifty Shades of Lust {Steamiest Short Stories}

Fifty Shades of Lust {Steamiest Short Stories}

Most nights I ate dinner alone and went to bed wondering why I even bothered waiting up. Our neighbor Matthew was nothing like my husband. Tall, broad-shouldered, with a calm, deep voice that always seemed to settle low in my stomach whenever he spoke. His wife Sarah traveled even more than Ryan did, leaving Matthew alone in their house for days at a time. We had started with simple conversations over the fence—hello, how was your day, need help with those groceries—and slowly those talks had grown longer, the looks between us heavier.

Sweet Surrender: A Compilation Of Spicy Erotic Confessions

Sweet Surrender: A Compilation Of Spicy Erotic Confessions

Two days ago, a new neighbor moved in next door. That house had been vacant for months. Rachel and Diego had often wondered who might finally buy it. When he noticed the moving van, Diego suggested she wait a day or two before introducing herself. “Let her settle in first,” he said. She agreed. But that afternoon, while standing on the back porch upstairs, a movement in the yard next door caught her attention. There was a young, blonde lady who was distractingly gorgeous, hanging laundry on a high clothesline. Each time she reached up, her skirt lifted slightly. Rachel saw the length of her tan and toned legs. She also noticed that white panties flashed beneath the hem. She hadn’t meant to s

The New Teacher Next Door

The New Teacher Next Door

It wasn't just a feeling though, it was a fact. I earnestly looked forward to our next meeting, but it never came, or at least not as I had expected. However, two weeks after our first encounter, Ms. Ellen appeared at my parents doorstep with a jar of cookies, and a wide smile, introducing herself as our next door neighbour. And then I knew the world was playing tricks on me.

Man's Best Wingman

Man's Best Wingman

Clay groaned as he moved me to another wall instead of the panel. “That’s the end game.” I groaned, rocking against him as I pulled his lips back to mine. Neither of us paid attention to the door dings. We were a bit too occupied making out, grinding against each other. When we reached our destination, we couldn’t ignore it. Hard to ignore the annoyed cough of my other neighbor, the elderly couple of Mr. and Mrs. Kelly. “Um… evening, Mr. and Mrs. Kelly.” I blushed as I pulled back from Clay’s delicious lips.

Is that really how the book ends? It's a really good book but to end it that way... Especially with the trauma the two main characters seperately endured... Feels wrong to deprive the reader from getting to have that HEA with the characters.

Another wonderful book!! I have laughed so hard it hurts and this is not just a nod to romance, But Life getting in the way and our animals fully taking over and inserting themselves when we aren't brave enough to do it ourselves. Absolutely brilliant!!!

My Husband and My Wife

then she smiled. They allow me to stay the night in the guest room. Then I heard noises from the other room. I can't figure out the noise it's more like muffled sounds. Then it hit me that they probably doing their snuggle time. Even though it's I just heard those noises a bit... I keep myself wide awake for the whole night, imagining what they are doing on the other side. What actually happened... Dohyung moved closer to his wife. "Hmm, Ji-Ha..." He whispered.
