When I tried freeing my hands from the rope, the door on my front suddenly opened and I was greeted by Lurcos with his pretty and kinky smiles. “You’re awake, Princess,” he said before going on top of me before closing the door. My eyes widened in disbelief. “What the heck! Get off me!” I tried protesting by pushing him off but I am nothing compared to his huge build. He cornered my face in between his arms and moved his face closer to mine. “Ahh….!” I tried shouting, but he immediately covered my mouth. “Shh, Princess! No one’s going to hear you anyway. I just sent off your two big guys using your phone. It’s just you and me now,” he whispered under me.

|HER POV| The thing about elite institutions was that the cruelty was better dressed. I had encountered the other kind — the blunt, unimaginative sort from secondary school, where girls said ugly things directly because they hadn't yet learned that subtlety was more damaging and harder to report. Blackthorn was different. Here it came wrapped in compliments, delivered with immaculate posture, wearing cashmere and a smile that hadn't reached anyone's eyes since approximately the fourteenth century. I press my hand against my forehead, beginning to pace, even with my knee protesting as it does. When I look back at the Prince, he’s watching me with a calm expression, although his eyes suggest otherwise. They are ablaze with unreadable emotion, his full lips settled in a line. "My name is Hale,” he murmurs. He doesn’t offer his hand, and he doesn’t need to, because there is no way I would dare touch a pureblood.
