“If you don’t want money, why did you sell yourself? Isn’t that the same as being a prostitute?” Luna’s eyes welled up at the insult. “I-I’m not a prostitute! I told you, I’m not a prostitute!” Luna felt as if she had fallen into a pit of fire. She would never stoop so low. Even though she came from a humble family, Luna would rather starve to death than sell her virginity. Draco maintained his smirk. He leaned in close to Luna’s ear and whispered sharply, “To hell with your excuses. You will obey me. I hate people who dare to defy me, Luna.”

They moved like smoke, twisting and shifting into forms she had long feared losing: Kael struck down before her eyes, Aeron trapped in molten chains, Mira consumed by flames. She froze, but a hand on her shoulder steadied her. Cassian’s voice rang clear. “Focus, Luna! They are illusions. They feed on fear, not reality!” Luna’s hands glowed brighter, the moons’ light forming a protective sphere. “I know what you are,” she said to the shadows. “You cannot control me. I am the Moonbearer!” The illusions writhed, shrieking as the light of the moons struck them. One by one, they dissolved into smoke, leaving only Luna standing, radiant with silver, blue, and pale gold light.

I tasted the air, heart hammering as my wolf pushed harder, faster—calling out into the dark like the forest itself might answer. Where is my Luna? The thought hit me like a blow. “No,” I snarled aloud, skidding to a halt. “She isn’t.” She wasn’t my mate. She wasn’t my Luna. She was a mistake I had buried years ago. And yet—Selene. Her name burned through me, raw and undeniable. My wolf howled, grief and fury tangling in his voice as the truth I’d been fighting clawed its way to the surface. This pretense, this denial..it was over.

She defeated Kaydan, they have him and his soldiers locked away awaiting trial for what they have done.” Once I started talking it all flowed out of me at a fast pace. I didn’t take a breather until I was done and I couldn’t help the smile on my face.

Four new Lunas had arrived since the day before, and Jeanette made sure I was introduced to them before getting everyone else settled in at the tables assembled in the greenhouse. “This is Luna Makayla Crestwood of the Red Oasis Pack, Luna Katherine O’Donnell of the Bloodmoon Pride, Luna Sarah Clark of the Silent Silver River Pack, and Luna Lisa Lawrence of the Raging Peaks Pack. Through the screen, Aquilo could feel that Luna was shocked, as if she did not expect such an answer. Luna’s goal was not really to persuade him. Instead, she wanted to make him look at the trending topics. She wanted to manipulate him into defending her. I knew at once that it was the prisoners I came for that were already there. As soon as they saw me , they all ran away. I entered into the pack and was blocked my a young Lady who I identified to be the Luna. she asked they I leave the place peacefully without causing problems. I laughed and told her that there was going to be blood shed if she didn't hand over the prisoners to me. She laughed , telling me that she only got back her people that were taken from her years ago.m, and that she wasn't going to hand anyone over. I got annoyed with the way she laughed and assigned my guards to get her off the way by attacking her.
