My heart began beating faster and faster, “Calm down, Davina… there’s no one here… don’t be scared,” I said to myself as I kept swallowing hard and looking around. “I think… I should move now…” I mumbled while taking a deep breath, While looking around I took a step ahead and the ground beneath me collapsed and I fell into something deep. A scream escaped from my lips when I landed on the floor harshly, “Jesus,” I groaned as I tried to move. As soon as I released what just happened, I opened my eyes and looked around me. I was laying on the wooden floor; I looked up and saw that I was underneath the ground I just walked on.

Generally, Demonic Beasts would die if their Beast Core was destroyed, unlike humans who would only lose their powers and become ordinary humans. "Head down!" I screamed, grabbing Eliana’s collar to keep her from smashing her skull against a rivet. We hit the bottom with a wet, bone-jarring impact.

The descent from the Silver Spire was a spectacle of impossible, breathtaking scale. Jack and Marcus stood on a massive, open-air kinetic platform made of pure white glass, gliding slowly down the central causeway toward the Grand Hub. The artificial sky above them had been locked into a brilliant, unblemished canopy of liquid gold and deep violet. As they descended, Jack walked to the edge of the crystal railing.

The connection between the two of us was unlike anything I ever thought I’d have. By the time I finally noticed the sky, nightfall had already settled over the pack. The full moon had already taken its place in the night sky, and the second its light touched me, something shifted inside me. A chill ran down her spine. Cassian stepped forward. "Then what do we do?" The figure studied them for a long moment. Then, he whispered, "You run." And the world collapsed. Just when everyone thought Jason would surrender, he rushed to the window and jumped out, dragging Jean after him.
