The Distance Between Us Movie Novels & Stories

“William, I feel a little dizzy.” William immediately lifted her into his arms and left. I watched silently. This time, I didn’t feel sadness or pain. I followed Mike back to the hospital. His phone suddenly rang on the desk. That was my phone. Since my family couldn’t be contacted, Mike had been holding onto it. I leaned in and saw that the message was from William. “Jennifer and I are getting married at the end of the month. You like money, don’t you? As long as you come, I’ll give you a million.”

But disasters in life shatter people apart no matter how close they are to the person FLASHBACK Jaxon and Rosalina were in a relationship from the end of school. They had dated for almost 2 years now and, it was at the beginning of the college year when the horrifying incident had taken place Rosalina had just finished my classes. Rosalina was excited to meet Jaxon after a hectic day of classes. Every time she sees his angelic smile, it just makes her day. Rosalina was going down the hallway in search of Jaxon. She had checked everywhere but he was nowhere to be seen.

I scolded as I met his sudden ambush with a fiery glare. "Is there really anything that could frighten you that much?" Jethro countered. He loomed over me, his tone as impassive as the look in his eyes. "Keep your distance," I said. Feeling awkward at our closeness, I pushed him with all my might to widen the gap between us. "The distance between us is already vast compared to how close we once were. We’re now worlds apart." Jethro stood unyielding, and his cryptic words left me confused.

“Maybe the one everyone is shouting at their screens right now.” My pulse spikes. She glances between us. “Do you love each other?” she asks. The closest camera zooms in. On him. On me. On the span of space between us, that suddenly feels like a live wire. The world goes very, very quiet. We both inhale— And the feed cuts to black.

It was like a shock to my system, and my pulse spiked. I turned to say something, but as I did, we were suddenly face-to-face, inches apart. The air shifted between us. Neither of us spoke. Her eyes flicked to my lips, just for a moment, before she quickly turned back to the screen. It was like time stopped. There was a silence between us that was louder than anything. The tension, electric, alive hung in the air. When the movie ended, we walked out into the sunlight, both of us pretending nothing had happened.

“Too late.” We both ended up sitting on the couch… At opposite ends. Like we were strangers who just happened to choose the same furniture. She hugged a pillow. I crossed my arms. It was ridiculous. After ten minutes of the movie, I could feel the awkward distance like a physical wall. She sneaked a glance at me. I sneaked a glance at her. Then she shifted a little closer. Just a little. So I shifted too. Just a little. Two minutes later, we were closer again.

"Did you use your wealth to overpower them?" I smiled, pressing a button. "Before that, let me share something." ... The screen lit up with photos of Victor, Helene, and Edith at the amusement park. The images grew intimate, showing Victor and Helene cozy together. The room went quiet, cameras flashing wildly. A video played, showing Edith's birthday, with clear shots of hickeys on Victor and Helene. Then it was me locked in a storage room by Edith, followed by Helene's mother being run over by her car.

It felt… different. She released the railing and walked the rest of the way down until she stood in front of me. Close. Too close. Neither of us stepped back. For a brief moment, everything else faded—the tension, the threats, the unanswered questions. It was just her and me, standing there in a space that suddenly felt smaller than it should have been. And I realized something I hadn’t wanted to admit. Distance was no longer working. Not when she was this close. Not when I didn’t want to move away. So I didn’t. And that… might have been my biggest mistake.

The Distance Between Us POV: Aidan The first thing I notice is the silence. Not the absence of sound. But the absence of weight. It takes me a few seconds to realize what feels wrong. My body is still there. I can feel my hands, my breathing, the steady rhythm of my heart. But something else is missing. The pull. The constant, low hum of connection that I never fully understood until now. Earth. It’s gone. Or at least… distant.

On Julian Sterling’s birthday, Zara Xavier secretly traveled six hours to his city to surprise him. She knew he had been eyeing a limited-edition watch, one of only a few in the world, so she arranged to meet a college student in person to buy it. When the girl arrived, Zara was surprised to see that she was pregnant. She was still in college, but her belly was already quite large. She was well into her third trimester. “Hi, I’m Zoey Ramsey. You’re the one who wanted the watch, right?” Zoey pulled the watch out of its original box and handed it to Zara as if it were no big deal. Zara happily took it. “Yes, this is the one. My husband really likes it. Ms. Ramsey, how much are you asking
